Please correct me if I am wrong, but I did not think that the Century .55x is a true High Definition Lense. I thought it did not capture more than 300 lines/(something). Does it have the same/better/worse quality of the Raynox 3032? Maybe you simply can not comprehend the fact that manufacture regulations are set because certain acts can and have killed "experienced and safe" tandem masters and their cargo. I understand that these are your friends. I understand that you want to speak up for them. However, you should speak to them because they will not be working in the industry for long if they continue these stunts.

depends on WL, jump #s, experience, confidence, its a personal answer. I have jumped in 20s, but have stayed on the ground in strong gusts blowing from 5-17ish. needless to say, in your case, winds were too high. My favorite indication if the winds are too high is when the person with 1000 more jumps than you are staying on the ground. Pick someone with more jumps than you, who knows your skill well, and who's judgement you trust and ask them if its ok for you to jump.

This is one of the biggest mistakes that i made in my short time in the sport. You and me are both in the stage where "we dont know what we dont know." I truly believe that everyone should wear a jumpsuit or go with no shirt. In Texas in the summer when I had 50ish jumps i thought there was no reason to wear a jumpsuit. I was just like you and just tucked my jumpsuit in my shorts and stayed cool. About 1 out of every 5 jumps my shirt would be above my nipples and flying everywhere all over my gear- no big deal. Well if i had a t shirt all over my handles during my horseshoe (another story fun story) i might not be telling you to get a jumpsuit. Plus! it DRASTICALLY changes the drag and power that you have to work with. I had to totally relearn how to sit fly because going from no drag to lots of drag on your legs is a incredible difference. You are only hurting yourself and wasting some money on jumps that you will have to relearn by not getting a suit.
