LOL. Thanks for the fresh batch of replies all! However 2 years later packing is not a problem. In the end I was packing a brand new 135 in a dbag designed for a 129. New canopies will be a breeze forevermore! I have roughly 400 jumps on the 135. now looking for a 125. www.skydivesandiego.com

Tell a Rigger you are considering purchasing a reflex container and you'll figure it out! www.skydivesandiego.com

Hey gang. Does anyone know where I can pick up a Reflex (Flightline systems) tshirt. I saw a rigger wearing it at my DZ and had a pretty good laugh. I hear they were selling them on para gear.com but I could not find them there. Thanks in Advance www.skydivesandiego.com

Cinco de Mayo at SKYDIVE SAN DIEGO
Julien007 replied to GravityGirl's topic in Events & Places to Jump
[url]Bump for the Gravity Girl! Seriously folks, be there. Skydive SD is a great DZ. Packing areas, runway and parachute landing area are all right next to each other and we have some great people who welcome newcomers. Say hi to me when you get there. I'll be the guy with the black and white Infinity container and city camo pants. Factor in the DZ ammenities with food and beer afterwards and you have an epic time in the making. BE there! Definitely busier in the summer, which is good. Over the winter if I am going to go by mid week I have to call and make sure they have tandem or AFF appointments as there are not always enough fun jumpers there to keep the plane loads moving. Summer time is awesome though, with 15 to 20 plane loads a day going up and plenty of room to pack. I can't wait. www.skydivesandiego.com

This is my DZ and I love it. Summertime is particularly great. The increase in business means planes are always going up. I have never had to wait too long for a load. We are spoiled with our weather especially during the summer. We almost always have a steady headwind to land into and almost never a crosswind. I have only had to reverse my approach twice over there. Saturdays and Sundays there is a grill area and there is a deck with a little grassy hill for spectators. The people are friendly and the staff is cool as well. Manifesting and getting on the plane is a breeze. Just post if you have more specific questions! www.skydivesandiego.com

So i am planning on going in early July for about two weeks. Hit Moscow for two days then Eisk for some watersports and mainly skydiving. If any other Americans or English speakers want to co-plan with me then let me know! Incedentally I am plaining on picking up a language program to learn some basic Russian. But Mr, Stremglove, do many of you speak english around Eisk? www.skydivesandiego.com

I just received my XL Rok also. My gourd measures 23.5 and the fit is very snug. At 22.5 you should have a perfect fit. www.skydivesandiego.com

Well I am a little short But I plan on getting around 200 jumps this summer, so I'll be good to go by Sept. www.skydivesandiego.com

Okay, I am planning on going early July. Just renewed my passport and have put the word out at my home dropzone for travel companions although I will go alone if I have to. I'll be looking into visas shortly. What do you think? Is early July a good time? www.skydivesandiego.com

Forgive my ignorance... I purchased my container used from a friend. I know that size I-43 is supposed to accomodate a range of at least 3 different canopy sizes 135-150. I was under the impression though that at least the Dbag was custom ordered per canopy size. Crap. I m glad I don't have to stick a 150 in that thing. We'll see. www.skydivesandiego.com

The only air in that freakin bag is in the tufts of fabric hanging out of the bag. The thing is a brick. Swinging the filled bag around by the bridal would make a formidable medeval weapon. Yup, I'll order a new bag. Does anyone know what the sizing is? (s,m,l,xl) etc. or obscure #s? www.skydivesandiego.com

Well, after much patience (and many uttered cuss words. I can get the thing in the bag without making a mess. However when i finish my Dbag always reminds me of Hillary Clinton trying on a miniskirt. I neaten and tuck but this is still what I get. I can still get better but this is ridiculus. One of the packers mentioned that my bag was a little short. What do you all think? Time for a new (bigger)Dbag? www.skydivesandiego.com

I have been looking into Eisk as well as the Aqualeto resort. Babelfish gave me a very clear view of the website. However I can't find anything on Eisk. Anxiously awaiting pics of the dropzone, and If you have a link to anything about the surrounding area w/ pics, that would be great too! Oh yeah, Are beach landings possible? Thanks www.skydivesandiego.com

I have always wanted to go to Russia. This looks very appealing to me. More Questions: What is the weather like? Hot during summer or cool? Is there a month during summer that I can expect a higher probability of blue skies? (I don't want to fly to Russia and be grounded because of clouds!) What else is there to do in Eisk? Most importantly, are there hot chicks there?

Hi everyone! I want to know if any of you have been to Skydive El Sol in Cabo San Lucas. I am planning a vacation to Cabo and am interested in hearing about peoples experience at this DZ. I searched the forums and there is not alot of info. I have some questions as well. For instance, how long does it take to get to the airport after a beach landing? What altitude will they take you to? How Often are they open? The website does not really give the hours of operation.... And lastly, How amazing is it to land on the beach??

No problem, and thanks everyone for the advice. Wish I could say I was doing better, but I am not. I am typing this from Tranquil Groves Mental Hospital. It seems I have been comitted. The orderlies claimed that some friends found me catatonic with a shredded parachute, drool running down my chin, rocking back and forth, mumbling over and over: "IT WOULDN"T GO IN THE BAG"

Dear lord and baby Jesus! Just made four fresh packing attempts. 3 with the Wolmari method and one regular pro pack. NONE MADE IT IN THE FAWKING BAG!!! I want to break something! Or maybe cry like a little girl (Even though I am a 32 year old dude.) Arghhhh!! I am ready to bury this thing in the dirt for a week to kill some of the slipperyness! You no sooner compress it than it reinflates like a nerf ball. Its like packing a pillow into a change purse and almost as futile as training chimpanzees to be butlers. %$#$!!*&!% OK I feel a tiny bit better after venting. I'll practice more tomorrow. Going to the DZ on Sunday. I hope to god I don't have to suffer the embarrasment of bringing this shit to the DZ unpacked. Goodnight. I am gonna go cry myself to sleep. www.skydivesandiego.com

Same issue here! Infiniti container and Sabre 2 135 as well. Ive gotten it in the bag once but it looked like dog vomit and I was scared to jump it. I have been paying a packer instead. Embarrasing. Ive been practicing at home on carpet and have launched into several campaigns of violent cursing so far. How are you doing with the packing now, and did you pick up any tricks for packing Zippo? Heres a youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZi2TAe7Of8link to help the similarly despondent : www.skydivesandiego.com
