  1. anyone graduated from any college program with bachelors degrees focusing on network/administration/design/security?

it seems as though most technology programs at universities ive researched focus on computer science/engineering, as opposed to networking specifically..................

  2. our laws and justice system protect people like this kid. were too lenient. In what other countries do you see massacres from unstable children/young adults like this, happening at the frequency that it does? only in america....

everyone can claim insanity nowadays, and be removed from society and taken care of for life, albeit in a horrible environment, but some people who lose it because they hate society and people so much probably want just that.

i think EXTREMELY harsh punishments for offenses like this should be in place

  3. so wouldnt that put uneccessary stretch on the main area as well? lets say someone ends up NOT downsizing, and keeps a 230 for 50+ jumps, wouldnt that be detrimental to a brand new container???? or would 50 packjobs overstuffing the main tray not make a difference?

    and yes wings are sick............
but im gettin me a voodoo curve after the holidays because RI makes the SEXIEST rigs

One has to wonder if taking that 7000 or whatever $ and pitching a tent at Eloy for 6 months, jumping your ass off every day while bein' a DZ bitch wouldn't actually be a faster track toward the goal...I truly don't know.

Just for the sake of discussion, explain to me how it is that after 6 months and 150 jumps in the sport...doing some camera jumps is 'already paying off'.

Either camera jumps at your DZ pay a whole lot more than here, or you haven't factored in the cost of your skydiving rig, jumpsuit & cameras. ;)

Anyway...best of luck to you, I sincerely hope your skydiving career turns out to be successful both personally and financially, as mine has been. B|

at least hanging out the old fashioned way, working your way up to a tandem instructor, youll know after some time wether or not youre still enjoying the business. the problem i had with wasting 50k on culinary school, was that the fire burnt for about 2 years, real bright, and then i finally realized how much i fucking hate the cooking industry. had i hung out and worked in some restaurants for a while, and learned what i was getting into as a job, i would have NEVER commited to a 50k dollar culinary program..........

i am trying to slowly work my way up to get my TI ratings, and so far, i am still enjoying every aspect of the sport. i hope that never changes

  9. so if a person were to bang out say 75-100 wingsuit jumps on an old skyflyer, to the point where you can really fly that thing in dives, max flight, etc., would transitioning into a T-bird be an acceptable progression?

the skyflyer, from what everyone says, is sort of a beginner/intermediate suit in itself................not the best intro suit, but has some decent level of performance.............

As a professional what do you think and feel about those who have a very limit pallet when it comes to food?

How do you work around it to provide a good product?

to each their own, people with weird eating habits are just missing out on all kinds of goodies. i can cook vegetarian food that has unbelievable flavor.

work around it? i dont. i got out of that shit slavery business of line cooking back in 08 when i joined the uscg. im an electrician now =)

There were definitely no seat belts in the Pilatus Porter I jumped from in Greece.

To be honest though I don't think I missed 'em... except for that whole part about taking off. I'd be lying if I said I didn't breath easy every time we got up over a thousand feet. At least then you can choose to land under a reserve instead of a crash landing.

Really? You might want to adjust your 'rest easy' altitude up a few hundred feet. How long do you think it will take to get the door open and for you to actaully leave the plane? If the engine quits, you're going to start losing altitude NOW, so every second that goes by, your 1000ft gets lower and lower.

On top of that, Porters are somtimes loaded 'tight', which makes it that much harder for everyone to get out, especialy from a seated position. If one person in between you and the door has trouble getting up, or getting out, you're going to be well below 1000ft before you get anywhere near the door.

you dont need to be the fastest and most competent person; just the first one out!

  13. i wonder, and im not bullshitting, if drilling a few micro holes around the outside of the visor screen, with an ultra tiny drill bit, might help with fogging?

i know these helmets are pricy, but i suppose it would be worth shooting cookie comp. an email to see if this would be a good/bad idea or if it would work..............

my snowboard goggles are lined with small holes all around the lens , thats what got me thinking

  14. bumping this thread................

so im pretty set on a full face for wingsuit flying, but my question is for all those with altimeters mounted on their mudflaps.....
have you had any problems clearly seeing your mud-flap mounted altimiters, or is the peripheral vision good?

what kind of full face do you have?
    cheers
