  1. Thanks Phil, I am trying to clear my schedule to make it for a couple of days. When I get there I will definitely look for you and would love to jump with you. Thanks again....
  2. I was wondering how a boogie worked. I am still a student, but would like to attend the boogie. I do not plan on still being a student come June, but do not know anything about what to expect. Do you have to pre-pay? What if I can only make it for one or two days? If anyone can offer some insight I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!
  3. I finished my AFF course this week and it was a blast. I also made 3 more solo jumps. I can't wait to go again. I would like to thank Ed for my instruction. He is very knowledgeable, patient and knows how to teach. I now just have to work on getting my A license. I am just so excited that I actually did it, I can't wait to go again. Talk to you later. Colin
  4. Hello everyone. I have made a couple of posts here before but never really introduced myself. My name is Colin and I am from Reno NV. I have wanted to skydive a long time. I have done research, and with some advice on this website, I am going to begine my AFF course tomorrow. I can not wait to begin. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Blue skies...
  5. Thanks Ed. I know, I know. Save my money. I am just getting some ideas for later when I am going to buy my own stuff. How is the weather in Lodi? I will talk to you very soon.
  6. I am new to skydiving, actually I do not even start my aff course for a couple of weeks. Anyway, I have been looking into a couple of helmets to buy. Either the Z1 Evo, or Skysystems HR2. There have not been any reviews on the HR2, but I read one review that the Z1 is merely a thin shell with a liner and that it possibly might not provide any type of protection in the chance of a collision with either a skydiver or an object. Granted this is only one review, but after going to their website, I can not see any type of rating or any type of testing done to show how it is made or what standards it is made to. I have not seen or felt either helmet in person and wanted some advice before making a purchase. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
  7. I plan on starting in March and have spent countless hours on this site and others viewing rigs, watching videos, window shopping for a bunch of stuff I think I want but don't know where to begin. Where and when do you plan on starting? Hope it is sooner than later. See ya!
  8. Yes, I am going to use Ed for private coaching. Thanks to all of those who replied. It helped me make my decision easier. Ed, I will be calling you sometime in Feb. to set a date. Thanks
  9. Hello, I live in Reno NV and want to get into skydiving. I have been looking into two schools for the AFF program, and after reading countless forum discussion am further baffled on how to choose. I am spit between Parachute Center (less expensive) and Skydance Skydiving. Both are about a 3 hour drive, which makes it difficult for me to go there to get a feel for the people and the dz. How else can I make the right decision? I really can't wait to start. Thanks for any input anyone delivers.
