  1. You question a very successful skydiving rating system about progressing its student to fast, but you yoursefl are jumping a canopy at a WL that any normal person in skydiving would question, you do the math/connect the dots. But Top summed it up pretty well!

a license is 25 jumps minium

    which is still ridicilous.. :|

Just curious, why do you consider it ridiculous? In your opinion, should it be more? Less? Why?

Just wondering what your reasoning is.

at my dz, typically you have somewhere between 80-100 jumps, on others around here it may be in the range of 50 or so jumps; just a little more confidence you're not going to fuck yourself or others up, proved you can accomplish different tasks, have taken a written exam (like for your C-license if i'm correct!?), can pack and "un-mess" your parachute and so on..

you know how to fly a safe (!!!) pattern and know what vertical and horizontal separation is, you can hit your intended target by 50 or so feet..

just things like that. you cant accomplish that in only 25 jumps..

So you think our structure moves people along to a Lic. to quick? That coming from a guy with 260 jumps and a Safire 2 119 @ (1.63 lbs/ft²). If you dont mind I will take your opinion with a grain of salt as I always do;):S

  3. Another thing that could cause it is by removing the guard. Then the line gets to long and over revs to and over works it.....something like that.

You know...I realize you're joking, but...

Everyone on here gets pissed when people downsize too quickly, then we see posts like yours making a joke of his perfectly reasonble downsize...Would it be better if he went to a 150?

Can anyone make the right decision as per the skygod's rules?

    Get over yourself man!:S:|

Welcome to the new America brother.

The poor will die off. And the middle class will have to move to Mexico if they wish to retire at a decent age!

This ordeal is still going to cost me and yet I got nothing out of it other than a lesson learned.

the rest of us got lesson's learned from this ordeal

1 - caution in buying from someone not local
2 - active communication is a great thing for vendors to practice
    3 - don't mess with K-dub :D

    No doubt! I don't mess around. B|

Oh, and the lead photo showed some fat, beer gut dude with a brewski in his hand, standing on top of his motor home.

So he could have been a skydiver at a DZ ?:P

  12. Depends on what you like....I live in Keller (2 towns from Grapevine) This is a great area if you ever want to raise kids or just be away from the BS. A lot less crime up this way compared to most of the rest of the metroplex. Sdd is great! Very fun jumper friendly! They will fly the caravan with 5 fun jumpers all day! Nice bunk room (free) and showers. Place for campers and tents. If you have any other questions let me know. I you need someone to show you around town let me know.:)

  13. It was the 3 load on a Friday, and my 3rd jump of the day. As I was sitting there in the plane I look at one of my shoes and notice one my shoe stings has been cut. I look at the other and it was cut as well. As I look around at all the geriatrics, wondering who the guilty bastard is. It becomes very obvious that I was the last to find out about my shoe strings, and that one was cut on load one and the other was cut on load two ..... "Kiss my ass Crocket!"
