  1. You both have it figured out but this guy will not listen until he is a wheel chair. But he is to much of a sky god for that to happen. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  2. Id say rent gear just long enought to get back on the horse and get confertable. It has been 2 years, no need to go and get hirt your first day back. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  3. I have 2 FireFly suits and they dont fly like that Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  4. The problem i have seen is people saying they are facing off jump run when practicing and beploy next to me (30 FT away) after i have deployed. People say they are doing it buy have no reference and are not paying attention. Also seen same thing happen 100 FT above my friend under canopy( new FF going down jump run). 5. Freeflying is only for people with to much talent to use it all in just RW Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  6. I am no rigger but i had the same problem on my Saber 2 170. My rigger fixed it by replacing the two outside A lines. From what he told me that the outer a lines shrunk, allowing the slider grommet to go over the canopy fabric while quartering the slider while packing. Don't know how much cause i don't pack my own paracute. I believe when this happened I had about 200 jumps on this canopy (new). Might be something to get your rigger to look at. 7. Im glad you dont follow blind advise. The only reason for the "war" is becuase alot of students will and have followed dlind advise. Not good to give advise to a student that you have never even seen land. Not as big of an issue to give someone with more expierence advise. About the other person at your DZ that cant land that canopy, i have seen many licensed skydivers that cant land their own canopy that they have had for hundreds of jump much less rented gear. Best of luck Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  8. No i am not a packer. I only jump on fridays so i have 2 rigs and hot shot loads as much as possiable. Glad your pack jobs are getting easier. But mine are still easier Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  9. I have best fix for you. Pay a packer. Has always worked for me. All i have to do is pay for pack jobs and give a goooood tip. ooh yea and bring her a beer when she is done for the day Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  10. Thank you for taking out the trash Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  11. Very smart to question your instructor (since it did not sound/feel right). Check out my bio, Im at a 1.1 WL, and there is no way i would (or any sane person) would recomend you be at a 1.05 with four jumps. A student at my DZ was so happy to jump a 190 Sabre 2 today, but that put him at a .82 WL with 19 jumps. Go with your heart. You should not even think twice to question your instuctors, it is your life we are talking about here not there's. Congrats for using your head. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! 12. I stopped jumping in 2001 with about 20 jumps. When i came back in 2005 I did FJC, AFF 1, 3, 5, and 7. Then did my SDU classes. But was worth it for the safety reasons, but i did not have a license when i left. Glad you are back.
  13. A thief should be shot for taking something that is not thers. (expecially if its my rig) Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  14. It was sitting still and not slowly rotating in feather? Ewwwwww.... that ain't good. Turbines usually free-wheel a little unless something has seazed up in there. Dont know why it wasn't moving, but the pilot kept it at a very slow decent. Congrats to our pilot. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  15. Edited to add: I'm not sure if the guy at Spaceland who landed off the DZ and got out of his harness but was otherwise too injured to seek help had a cell phone. I bet he didn't, and the outcome of that might have been much different if he had been able to place a call. He did not have a cell phone on him He may have lived if he had one, I cary one all the time now for that reason. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  16. We had a Carvan Engine out at 8000 Ft ( it felt like a car slamming on the brakes ). Pilot tried to restart engine, but it would not. He said he was going back over DZ and we were to exit single file with no set up in door. As i exited i back tracked and noticed everone tracking away from other jumpers. There was no panicing involved at all. As engine died everone started gearing up and quit to listen to pilots comand. I was very proud of our pilot and felow jumpers that day. Pilot landed on runway with no incodents. By the way i dont like the look of a propeller sitting still at 8 grand Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  17. Make it three. I have 2 new vectors with all new aad's and canopys. Havent down sized yet and have no plan to for a while. I say go new if you can. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  18. Your name says it all. I just hope your canopy instructor is no longer teaching his bad ways. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  19. Congrats JIm. As you you noted SDD has a great staff. Never had a bad day at SDD, even on bad weather days. SDD rocks Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!

  21. Canopy course is the answer man. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  22. I mostly only jump on Fridays, but where i jump there is always load organizers for RW and FF on the weekend. But on friday there is always someone to jump with, and we will approach you if you look new to us. There is no reason for any skydiver to be scared to approach another jumper to ask if he wants to jump. If someone acts like a sky god then F%$^ them. This sport is all about interacting with like minded people. If they act like that than just get the last laugh by understanding that they are morons. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! 23. Add about 20 - 25 Lbs. to body wait for exit weight (rig/helmet/Suit Etc.). You should probally be looking for a 170. I jump a Sabre 2, and like it alot. I own new gear, but if that is a problem for you then you should get something used to get you started. About wind, you should not be jumping in to high of wind. My personal limit is 24 MPH, but you should make your own limit up. Say maybe 20 MPH or less. Jumping in windy conditions only presents more problems. But most important talk to the exp. jumpers/instructors who know you best. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
  24. I felt confident with my landing around jump # 80 due to taking canopy course by Scott Miller. One of the best things i have done in skydiving. After the course i felt 500% better under canopy. I would recomend to all. There is no way would have progressed the way i have without that course. Nothing opens like a Deere! You ignorant fool! Checks are for workers!
