  1. long story short....had rotator cuff surgery about a year ago...apparently i didn't dislocate my shoulder (maybe i did but popped it back in before the ER room) but if i did they tightened somethings up in the shoulder area from the injury, doc says should be good to skydive..... I was doing my AFF jumps got to near the end (doing barrel rolls and flips). I want to get back in the air but i've been thinking of doing some tunnel time beforehand to refresh the skills and make sure not to much pressure is put on the area so the question is...... Which place do you think is best to practice flying Paraclete XP SkyVenture in (NC) or Flyaway INdoor (pigeon forge, TN)....both are about the same distance of drive for me. thanks -mickey
  2. from one student to another..... aside from visualizing and going over the dive flow many times on the ground and in your head. The best advice my instructors gave me was: right after checking out with instructor 1)focus on the horizon (or wing of plain depending on exit) 2)take a long deep breath and let out slowly to relax 3) count off and jump....... but most importantly....arch, wave, reach, pull, arch...have fun and smile.
