  1. I currently jump a katana 107 at a wl of 1.7 and was told this past weekend I need to jump a velo.....I was curious about what differences I will notice besides everything happening faster and higher front riser pressure......any advice would be helpfull! Thanx!
  2. make the closing loop smaller.....i will take pictures and put them up sometime this weekend if i get a chance......I think your openings are do to slider or not rolling the tail enough and it coming undone as you fold it or put it in the bag....just my 2cents from my experience as a packer
  3. I have a katana 107 that I pack in a javelin sized for a 150 and I dont have hard openings......
  4. alright.....thanx for the reply! Hope to see you and brian out there.......also, I would like to talk to you about my turn while there to get your advice since its been a while since you last gave me advice on my turn......blue skies
  5. Which direction does the wind have to be coming from to be able to use the pond....If the pond isnt used, then where will it be? I have never jumped at the farm, but will be going up for the weekend and thinking about entering, thanx for the help..
  6. I beg to differ about the rubbeband stows, unless you are leaving them to loose and having line dump. just let the nose hang and make sure the slider is exposed and i have not noticed any difference in how many rolls i put in the tail. I personally roll my katana like people do there velos instead of the 2 s folds method. I have over 200 jumps on 135 to 107. I fly my openigs and give input as needed, and have only had end cell closer on the 120 several times and the 107 spin me up twice. Just my 2 cents......maybe we can do some hop and pops his weekend and i can watch you pull and see if i can notice anything
  7. Does anyone have any experience with the cx7? have they had any noticable difference with the video quality because it is compressed? How bad is the flutter on the video camera's, like how noticeable is it?
  8. Well I have been looking at the HD SONY video cameras, the 3 5 and 7. I know several people with the 3, but one says go with the 5 goes it is better, the other says the 3 is better because of the flutter, but cant tell or show me how bad the flutter is. I think the 7 would be nice to be able to go tapeless, plus less moving parts, which i think would be more reliable, but dont know how much quality is lost with compressing it to flash drive. I currently have pinnacle studio 11, would you reccomend another program? As far as stills go I know very little, but i have been told a rebel sti or xti i think it is......but like i said i know very little about stills, thats why I am in here asking trying to learn more
  9. If you arent going to give me advice on camera gera please post somewhere else....this was about what camera gear people would refer a friend to not camera class bullcrap.....who the one person who actual did that, thanx
  10. I am going to build a camera helmet, top mount, and i am curious about what video and still camera you all would recommend i get. I know very little about still camera, but know I wanna get a HD video camera. Thanx for all the help.
  11. Is it wrong to be curious what freestyle moves are out there and just asking suggestions on when it would be acceptable to start learning freestyle moves......Also, there are moves that can be done by young swoopers like drags and carves.....I am just trying to get advice from experienced jumpers about what the thing....
  12. I am curious about freestyle and all the moves. Is there somewhere I can look up all the moves and how would you suggest going about learning them. Also when is a good time to start attempting them or when would you suggest it would be fine to attempt them?
  13. Interested in what all it takes to make and mantain a swoop pond and what dimensions would be best to build the pond to. Anyone with experience or input please feel free to comment. Thanx!
