  1. did you just eat sofa pizza?
  2. Yes it is the throttle position sensor, and it will probably need re-calibrated if you replace it. How are your air and fuel filters?
  3. Honda Civic's are an exception to the rule, only because they can be built to outrun a vette at a tenth of the price.
  4. True....and the ones who disagree are single.
  5. They do indeed. First hand experience.
  6. Those are the women that like bikes.
  7. Oh yes they love bikes too. And boats. I forgot to mention those. Anything but cars, they hate cars.
  8. Women like trucks. Big trucks.
  9. No not worth it....unless small problems keep you up at night....or you really like the car.
  10. No it wasn't! It was me! I just sent a follow up pm attack to confirm it was me!
  11. You can try smearing it all around the old gasket if you want to save 10 bucks, it might work for awhile. You'll want to use some in the corners of the cam bearing caps before you put the valve cover back on though. It will leak if you don't.
  12. If the old one is composite then you will need to scrape all of the residue off. Once the head is off check it for warp, at 207k it's probably warped. The block probably is warped too. You might be able to get away without a resurface. Oh and you'll probably need a new intake manifold gasket and exhaust manifold gasket if you take them off before pulling the head. I've seen people unhook all the wiring, linkages, and hoses from the intake and leaving it bolted to the head. I prefer unbolting it.
  13. the guy that sent the pm
  14. Throw in some Lucas Transmission Stop Leak if you're just wanting a bandaid fix.
  15. A.Buy a 23 spline transmission, swap the bellhousing with the one from the 26 spline. B. Have an adapter plate made. C. Buy an engine + transmission from a 23 spline model and swap them out.
  16. Well executed, I will have to remember this for future use.
  17. Have any pics of the flywheel?...I'm confused. Never seen a flywheel with splines on it before.
  18. The clunk when going into gear could be a broken/unbolted engine mount. The easiest way to break a mount is to rev the engine in neutral and drop it into gear. Knocking CV joints could also be directly related to this. I would stay away from that shop if all these problems suddenly arrived after the maintenance.
