Number of jumpers killed by low pulls in the last 39 years: A LOT! Number of jumpers killed by GoPros and Contours combined: ZERO! Number of AAD activations due to low/no pulls: Enough to prove their worth! Number of AAD activations due to presence of GoPro or Contour without low/no pull: ZERO! I call BS! Fill your profile - show your experience that we can discuss at eye level.

Watching out for newbies [was - hard impact at Nats]

I am going to call bull shit on your post. I think you are just parroting what you have heard others say. With you experience level and time in the sport you couldn’t possibly know the sight picture for a 270 on any canopy much less one that is sub 150. Posting something in a manner that indicates you know it to be fact can lead to problems. You can come to believe you do in fact have the knowledge and skills you post about. Don’t take this as a flame but as a well meaning warning. Don’t let knowing the words convince you that you have the skills. Sparky +1 !! -

Hey, welcome back dude :-) -
what do owners think of their JFX
holie replied to daleskydive's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hey, there are a lot of questions to ask ;-) CF 139 at what wingload? JFX 119 would be at which wingload? ... aren't that three steps at once ? 139 -> 119 -> two steps eliptical - XB -> one step ----- tolling around ----- SoFPiDaRF rules! You have to go to a 109 JFX to get the full power! They recoment a wingload Zit:"NOTE: Recommended wing loading 1.8 to 2.8 (Yes, you can load it up like a JVX too!)" ----- / tolling around ----- With the search http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=JFX&sb=score&mh=25 you can find some posts about the JFX but as there are not many flying around it will be difficult to get an average opinion. cheers -
Hey Peter, why did my engineering teachers told me all the time not to do things like cleaning our machines by blasting compressed air? --> e.g. the dust would be blown between the dovetail guide and that would cause a lot of friction and wear or even blocking. So if you blow the sand it will be blown into the cylinder between the cylinder wall and the blade wich can cause other error ... What's your experience or opinion about that? Holger

Same here, once every 20 or 30 jumps the thing just breaks my neck. I was happy to read about the modification, until I checked my serial number: mine is higher than the s/n mentioned by Icarus. Oh well, I'll probably go for a reline anyway. As they wrote: *Just to clarify, the modification applies to all NEOS canopies with serial numbers prior to xxx12612. The first 3 digits may vary. So basically if your NEOS was manufactured prior to August 2011, the modification applies to you. Sorry for the confusion. Happy jumping everyone!* ----- > If your serial is higher, your canopy should be brand new?
