  1. people die every day in tragic events, if a parent dies in the pursuit of something they love it is sad but that does not constitute a tragedy in my opinion... and two the daughter has a mother, she is not a little orphan Anny.
  2. in the progression of the modern equipment of human flight i would have to say that a jumper is someone who is BASE jumping where a skydiver is someone jumping out of a plane... i would have to agree that in a sliding time line however, a jumper would be a round shoot/military jumper.
  3. What exactly would lead you to believe that is a good idea? quite a few things actually, we have some friends who are very good and compete so we have athlete support for one. the other major reason is because trying to represent all crossover sports is spreading a new company way too thin... we are taking on the FOX mentality of focus on one nich and bleed into other sports once a footing has been established. and the final decision maker is that there really is not a quality company offering casual apparel to represent us in the canopy sports! snowboarding has burton, DC, billabong, quicksilver ect.ect. and we have nothing...
  4. Looks like a clothing company. T-shirts, maybe? Go Fast, anyone? we are right now in pre launch, so we are offering things like closing loops, slider stows and other little functional things along with some clothing... but right now we are focusing on our R&D this summer to present some new rigs next season for different applications. we will start to offer more product and clothing around october when we are in soft launch. and jan of 10 we will have hard launch. we will be going to a lot of events around the world this year so if you see us at any please feel free to come say whats up. and no... we are nothing like go fast.
  5. Hi everyone, my name is Blake and I am starting a company that is aimed specifically towards canopy sports. I was wondering if you could give me an estimate of people ages 18-25 and ages 26 and up are actively participating in skydiving, BASE, speed flying, ground launching and if possible both international and national. I assume you only have the stats for skydiving and nationally, but that is a starting point. However if you do have info, or know who would have info, on the other sports it would be greatly appreciated. I am applying this information to my business plan so it does not need to be an exact number but the closer the better. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
  6. Yeah, thats us! i will post one, i also have a full business plan i am right now revising, which will be available next week! definitely let me know and i would really appreciate that! thank you so much! Blake and everyone else at CONFLO
  7. my name is Blake and i own a clothing company that we started over two and a half years ago... we have changed direction from all adventure sports and are going to focus almost entirely on canopy sports! we are right now looking for people who have the ability, or know someone with the ability, to stitch ballistic nylon and webbing. our goal is to make very attractive and comfortable casual wear and very appealing and functional hard goods including jump pants/suits, harnesses, eye wear, gloves and what not. this has been a long pursuit and we just want to bring appreciation/respect to our sports, while providing cool clothing and superior products to those involved in our sports already! if anyone has any information that may help us along our way it would be very welcomed! thank you all ahead of time and i look forward to hearing what all of you have to say. if you are interested we will keep you posted on our progress in making this dream a reality and send you new designs and products before they go out to the public, so that we can apply your opinions directly to the final products!Wink again, thank you Blake Dimeff and all of us at CONFLO
