bush is not the smartest president but not one time did he point fingers at the people that really caused the problems he took the crap dealt him (that was caused by others) and he had alot of crap created by the previous administration to deal with

it just goes to show again how the democrats try to cover or silience things they don't like - this is america and all points of view can be spoken weather we like them or not - it sounds like strong arm tactics to silience the oposition still are being used and public safety seems to be second - ill have to remember the names come election day

i recently visited a dz that had a freefly event that most of whom were swoopers - i don't care what you do when you jump and i think you have the right to choose what you want but standing in the landing area being used as a target by 10-12 swoopers all going big from every direction (right and left 270 and 180's and 90's ) scared the shit out of me just standing there and made me glad that my wingloading was high enough to be on the ground before the yahoos started the shit - and a couple of these yahoos were big name to vrw and swooping -just goes to show that with all the shit happening lately that people just don't learn - therefore i will galdly choose a dz that limits landing patterns and sda is on the top of my list of places i want to go

i own an independant shop and understand the shit some people get - i always explain to the customer in detail what is needed and why and even show the manufacturer maint. schedual to them - not all shops are rip-offs just enough to give us a bad name - just remember the same percentage of dealers are rip-offs also - just because they have a big name over their doors doesn't mean they are honest - their has been 2 dealers ( 1 ford and 1 dodge) shut down in the chicago area in the last 2 years for dishonest practices

hey watch those cheap prices - i own a shop and to do a propper trans flush costs me $45 - $70 depending on type of fluid since a shop will only work on a profit basis what did you really get ? definatly no a good job

ok a windstar - get rid of it they have a lowsy engine that has a lot of problems and will soon cost you a lot of money run now while you have the chance

the type of car and engine make a big diference on weather or not to keep it - also be carefull on ebay i know several people who got lemons on ebay and got stuck with the car - as far as donating that is only benificial if you have a piece of shit - if the car is valued at $3000 you only get back $300 - $600 off your taxes - definatly better to sell or trade in 99% of the time. aslo newer cars are getting very expensive to fix ( the average car now is $1200 a year to properly maintane if you take it to a shop)i recommend an extended warranty these new computers in the cars have a lot of things that brake- a $500 repair is nothing on the newer cars

or just bring out a case a week have a great time and in a year or 2 you will be drinking some other noobie's beer - a little expensive now but cheap in the long run

goodyear tires suck for traction - i've had several different goodyear tires on my cars and always could find better traction , cheaper tires with about the same or longer life - the only good goodyear tire is the fortura and it is very expensive - over the last 25 years i have tested different tires from most of the manufacturers good year always was near the bottom for traction and price

even responsible swoopers that are against the 270 ban at eloy are admitting they can't always see the entire airspace around them and have had close calls - your ideas are good ideas but don't fix the problem - they may lower the collision rate but not come close to fixing the problem - seperate landing areas with each landing area having a specific pattern is the best solution and that isn't even 100 %

yokohama will get a little less milage but have better traction than mich - also if it is a full time 4wd you need to replace all 4 tires at the same time - part time 4wd you can get away with 2 at a time as long as you don't use 4wd to much

i would stay away from costco and sams - the tires there are cheaper for a reason - ( i own a shop and had to deal with the problems with those tires they are not the same as the ones you buy from a reg tire dealer ) toyo is the best tire right now and worth the drive to get them - or order them on line and have them shipped to you then have them put on at your local shop - stay away from good year they suck ( i always get rid of stock goodyears at half life ) yokohama would be 2nd choice then cooper then mich

a swooper may see a clear pattern only to find it block when 2 or more people using the same landing area initiate the turn to final . this is caused by multiple patterns into the same area. until all patterns into the lz are the same this problem will continue. the only answer is multiple landing areas that have specific patterns for each area. this would be costly to implament but is the only safe answer. everyone wants to put a bandade on the problem by splitting a landing area in half or eduacating the masses which are both good ideas but in the end are only a small bandade on a large problem

stay with american cars - lets keep us employed so we can jump more - nothing pisses me off more than listening to someone bitch about being unemployed and driving a foreign car - maybe if people bought american fist we wouldn't have as much welfare or unemployment

lost 3 tendons and ripped off the cartilidge in my left shoulder on exit - still got 3 points by 10000 but the left hand donut really hurt and the landing really sucked

this was an outdoor mass that this father has every new years eve on the beach before sunset - all 4 of us landed right there - there was a 5 minute interuption in the service

i landed naked in front of mass, next to the preacher on 12-31-1999 on a beach in dominican rep i think that should count

i think more people would have a better relationship if they took better care of things at home like petting the monkey - remember its hard to keep a dog on the porch if you don't pet him once in a while

with the 2 chicago dz's thinking safety and working out to keep swooping things will be safer and maybe more dz's will follow

i finaly got to jump on monday without it being a holiday - doug (dzo) of skydive csc in hinckley said on safety day that things are going to get better for the fun jumper and started prooving that yesterday by sending up light loads on the pac 750 on monday - new min loads of 6 made it possible to get 3 jumps after 5 pm - doug hopes to get people to jump more during the week and from what i see he is serious - also with the new lounge with a pool table, big screen tv, and couches now we can wait out the weather and have something to do - doug also addressed swoop safety by closing the swoop lane when winds come from the north so the swoopers don't interfer with the main landing area - swoopers helped to come up with this for safety - swoop lane is still open for all other wind directions - 2007 is getting off to a great start thanx to the new changes
