  1. You still use T-10Rs? Wow those things suck.
  2. Oh i'm already going. That picture was a swift kick in the ass to get me to a gym.
  3. Because I was fucking hammered on saki and sparks, thats why. Yes. People do stupid shit when they are drunk. Dont ever tell me you or anybody you ever knew didnt do something stupid when they were drunk. We are all skydivers and know a lot of shit happens when alcohol ios involved.
  4. According to Kittinger he broke the speed of sound. The officials say he didnt though
  5. I wonder if those should be put on the list of stickers that need to be taken down. I bet chuck would love to go manscape that guy!
  6. It doesnt surprise me that alcohol was involved but I doubt it was his idea. I mean seriously who would fucking do that!
  7. That dude needs to sue and get lots of money for pain and suffering.
  8. ..." .............................................................................................. Type7 can be very flexible however the majority of type7 that is made is actually type7R. The R being an added resin that helps against wear and tear, it also makes it less flexible. Type 8 webbing is plenty strong enough for most skydiving harnesses. A former Mirage employee even showed me some drop-test results proving that double Type 8 main lift webs can survive harder opening shocks because "they stretch more." However, Type 8 is not as durable so that is why most manufacturers sew a layer of Type 7 or Type 13 to the front of MLWs, to improve abrasion resistance when harnesses are dragged across the packing floor. A single layer of Type 8 webbing is strong enough for most chest straps, but modern harnesses usually use two layers (of Type 8) to reduce slippage through buckles. Remember that most MIL SPEC hardware was designed for bulky, cotton Type 13 webbing, which is far thicker and rougher - and resists slippage much better - than modern nylon webbing.
  9. I wonder if having that name makes it easier for an investigative reporter to get his foot in the door. It must. It looked like he was just able to walk right in and do whatever he wanted.
  10. .............................................................................................. The long term solution is probably those fancy, low profile COBRA Snaps sold by Para-Gear. I have one of the COBRA snaps on a rigger belt I made and i love it for that but have accidently popped it a few times. Dont know how but I did. I wouldnt want to worry about doing that in the air
  11. QuoteI'll bet the military tested the heck out of them both and stuck with the B-12's for a reason,,,,,,,, They actually use a QR that makes getting out of your rig even easier, the only con is that when the ejector snap is not seated all the way into the ball detent the quick fit V ring will pop out. When that happens it hurts really bad, especially when it happens on exit.
  12. No. I had that happen to me and it was not nice. Dont you have a MALO to be playing with?
  13. I have a few military harnesses that have them. they are not the most comfortable though...
  14. Any idea of the failure rate of those? I know they've long since fallen out of use in civilian gear, but don't they still use them on military gear and pilot bailout rigs? Yes they do Negative. B-12's are not used by the military. A QR system is utilized however it is more prone to failure than the B-12s
  15. 1 dollar below normal lift tickets out of whatever aircraft we happen to have.
  16. The team still exists. Head out to reaford and you will most likely find them jumping as a team or find one of the guys who does it on his own time.
  17. I remember being pissed off about all the signs that popped up in Birmingham when they only had the one DZ in Cedartown and were running my home DZ into the ground. So are you a socialist? Thats the only conclusion i get from this statement. Its called the free market Billy. If the consumer is to stupid to drive all the way to cedartown, GA that just means your home DZ sucked at advertising. It is a clear example that the people near your DZ were not being exposed to skydiving by you. Do you want to know what the secret to not letting that ever hapen again is?...advertise! Put the competitor out of buisness in your area by exposing the consumer to YOUR product and not somebody elses. If you dont advertise and dont get customers its your fault. You just sound like a whiny little bratt that is mad cuz he sucks at playing the game. Dont hate the game, hate yourself for sucking Billy
  18. Dude your an idiot. Look at the last part of your precious law. There is a grandfather clause in it. Sounds to me like you read it as good as you read that little tidbit about A/C maintinence and had a plane crash at you reputible DZ...which BTW is advertising for Nashville yet is in KY....and its not even OPERATING! Douche. Bag.
  19. 657' out of the back of a MH-47 jumping a MC1-1. I was kicking out of my last line twist when I hit.
  20. Do you know something we dont Billy? Oh...I forgot one of those stupid little faces. I've always heard that history repeats itself, and the sLyride history just keeps repeating itself, so it don't take a genius to see that history is repeating all over again..... Damn it! They keep repeating history soo damn much that it's got me keep repeating--repeating! Here's more faces for ya!
  21. Dont mean to get off topic, but just because plans were there doesnt mean shit. The US has plans for a lot of things. It just means we are prepared
  22. I doubt it. You forget that before we entered the country in 2001, I.E. eight years ago that the regime in control was destroying ancient religous monuments and killing women for being out in public without a man from their family. Religous extremism is very unrational. It wouldnt suprise me if that afghan cop was a Taliban sympethizer. The national police force and army have many of those.
  23. My point is what is coming out of Obama's mouth and what congress and his staff is doing behind him isn't matching up. When is he going to take control and be a president? I'm seeing lots of change, but none that I can believe in. Are you suggesting that he "take control of congress"? If you are then I think you should take a look at this thing called seperation of power, checks and balances, the legislative, judicial, and executive branches...
  24. Are you sure about that? Do you know something we dont Billy? Oh...I forgot one of those stupid little faces.
