  1. Target fixation. That year some guys didnt even realize they got blown off the wind line and landed on a sun tent
  2. It is a dz policy. They can do whatever they want. Absolutley correct. They can do whatever they want. So like I said. Scamming students for more money than they actually need to spend... That is simply your opinion. Others do not agree. And thats why the USA kicks ass! America! Fuck Yeah!
  3. It is a dz policy. They can do whatever they want. Absolutley correct. They can do whatever they want. So like I said. Scamming students for more money than they actually need to spend...
  4. There is a difference between recomending a tandem and actually requiring one. Nowhere in the rule book does it say you have to do a tandem skydive before you can do AFF. I wonder how hard their stance really is on that position?
  5. Call it fighting fire with fire, but at least the guy behind the alert isn't trying to scam some poor schmuck, or running thousands of websites (actually a few dozen with geo-locations built in) and trying to get in between the customer and all the real DZs trying to earn an honest buck! Um yes Jeff is. How is he not scamming people? He tells them that if they go to waverly they ont find anything there. Don't like it? Too hot in the kitchen? Go jump somewhere else with no ties to Skyride. I've been told quite a few staff members have done exactly that lately. You want to stay there, fine. You deserve it. Yes I will stay there as I love seeing people enjoy themselves after an exilerating tandem skydive and just because staff members may jump elswhere doesnt mean anything (we are allowed to have fun when we travel Mr. Fun Nazi)

  7. Understandable but while jumping rounds in the military has not taught me free fall skills it has taught me a lot about being aware while under canopy.
  8. No swooping on T-10s but you can on an MC1-1D or an SF-10A And you can do more than just drift with the wind on a -1 or sf-10, just ask these guys. http://www.ng.mil/news/archives/2008/08/081108-Leapfest.aspx
  9. You know I came and visited your DZ. Why dont you come visit mine? We are all adults and unless you have actually come out and dealt with any of us I dont think you have the right to call anybody scum sir
  10. Like I said...If we jump in waverly every weekend how is that a scam?
  11. - Prepare for a PLF - same. PLFing in the water is fun...
  12. Yeah. To many people are operating under the false assupmtion that experience is the same as competence
  13. QuoteActually my home dz requires at least one tandem before AFF. Wow. Sounds like that DZ is scamming people
  14. Jeff, what he is trying to say is that there is no scam at waverly. Your anti skyride websites are one thing but your website that says there is no jumping in Waverly is just absurd. We jump every weekend. No scam there.
  15. Also, anyone who has been through jump school could teach a PLF or emergency procedures better than any AFF instructor, PERIOD! You obviously have not seen or jumped with any recent graduates of the BAC
  16. Robert I dont know how you keep track of all your static line jumps, there is just so many...
  17. Once they are packed you can and should lock the pin in place similar to how a rigger does with your reserve. The thread should be easy to break when you yank on the lanyard to deploy them.. BUT not so strong as to keep it sewn in place. Thats what happened to me today on a water jump. The B-7s had FF thread on them instead of a lighter ticket. Luckily one of us found the mistake and quickly fixed it.
  18. In all fairness to me? Come on dude really? I wasnt the TI. I was just pointing out the flaws in the thread... Maybe an apology to the TI for all the bashing, oh wait that cant happen cuz he works at ASC...come on people grow up.
  19. Yes that guy. He had a spinal condition of some sort. It was a while ago but i do remember he did have some sort of handicap.
  20. He is handicapped...thats why he was assisted in leaving the aircraft.
  21. Who's living in fear? Having a look around my good old Europe, I deally doubt we're living in fear, unarmed and such. I feel safe, our policy and police is working quite good - so why do I have to be armed in daily life? Safe in Europe? Yeah tell it to this guy...
