AST doesn't offer the program that the OP wants. Thank you for highlighting what I said...I didnt say we did. Just letting him know where we are at since he lives in Nashville.

AST is a little over an hour from nashville. We are open friday though sunday.

Even those cutters can usualy only handle 1/2 - 1 inch tubular. We use them for the G-11 cargos and they are fun to play with.

I have seen them turn into streamers from really bad line twists and anti-inversion netting locking up.

From what I can see of it, it looks like it was removed from service because it met the 12 year life cycle the Military has for those canopies. Or it hit the six year service limit in place for Yuma

The lines on go a portion of the way up. The MIRPS is contiuous. That is a pain in the ass to fix.

Who could fly a ram-air parachute better? A first-jump student with nothing but classroom training, or an old fart from the 60's with a couple of hundred jumps on a round Paracommander? My bet would be on the guy with the round canopy experience. The phrase "You cant teach an old dog new tricks" comes to mind. Its not always the case but yeah sometimes or a lot of times people are stuck in their ways.

But in this case it can be done with the minimum. It has worked thousands of times. Requiring a tandem skydive in order to do AFF before you even know hat kind of student your going to get just strikes me as shady

You were jumping T-10s. Just by looking at that picture you cant tell but we were jumping MC1-1D canopies and that means both jumpers will stay where they are, and activate their reserves using the pull drop method.

I've seen cases where it hurt more than helped There are always exceptions. But 9 times out of 10, I'll take experience over ignorance. Even 99 times out of 100. But sometimes old experiance can mean new ignorance

Do you always know how deep the water is? Especially at night? Do the PLF, or you'll end up like this: Hahaha I know man Im just messin with ya. Last time I tried to PLF on a water jump it didnt go so well

Sure it is. Your helping out there wallet by not taking out any bills they dont actually have to. All of those are good recomendations as well but we all know that it can be done without the extra BS
