  1. I'd suggest your pilot have a short conversation with a jump pilot with Cessna experience, just to talk about jump run configuration of the plane mostly. (cut speed, tail high, etc.)
  2. Is my DZO/Rigger the only one out there that helps people find their first rig and considers this an important part of the journey to getting folks licensed and going in the sport post license?
  3. Hoping someone has a funky head shape like me. I have a small diameter head (usually can wear youth hats), but a tall head, so a lot of helmet chin bars hit the middle of my chin or my mouth. Anybody know what helmet has the lowest chin bar or a little extra clearance in that area?
  4. Fatties don't bother me a ton, I'm like 165 and personally I think they make for a much more stable freefall. Now canopy landing, that's some work. lol
  5. $30 for Tandem, +$25 for heavy. I'm not on hand cam yet, and can't remember what the rate is for sure, I want to say $55, another +5 if vid AND stills.

You guys can argue the nuances of the drug stuff all you want, but I think the main issue of the post and the story is that here is this dude publicly burning many folks who probably treated him very well and did a lot to make sure he was trained well, and safely. They likely did so in a very patriotic and supportive manner. It's pretty shitty for him to go and burn his former trainers, partners, and vendors. It does nobody any good, and will likely result in some very hurt feelings, burned bridges, and damaged personal and business relationships all around, that will require a great deal of work to repair. Many of these partnerships and relationships have taken years to build, and are based highly upon trust. Nothing will burn that trust and good vibe like unappreciative bullshit like this tool taking unsubstantiated claims to the national media.
  7. "At the same time the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate, Alan Cranston of California, the party whip, urged colleagues in a letter to form a ''solid phalanx'' of opposition" to any presidential appointment by the administration to the Supreme Court." Guess which party this is speaking about? What comes around goes around. I'm frankly very tired the dems acting like they are saints when it comes to this issue. They themselves have played this very political gamesmanship themselves in the Reagan years and again in the Bush years, with Obama himself being involved in filibusters against Bush appointees.
  8. my mistake, I'm used to using other sites that can recognize a link and automatically format it.
  9. Yet this occupation and destruction of government property was celebrated and supported by the left. https://www.google.com/search?q=wisconsin+capitol+protests&rlz=1C1SNNT_enUS379US379&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=681&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjqo9y8vNTKAhVB7iYKHXgfD2UQ_AUIBygC#tbm=isch&q=wisconsin+capitol+occupation
  10. They better make sure none of those women were married, if so they should likely be stoned to death for cheating on their husbands.
  11. Which is why he will have to think long and hard about who he chooses for his running mate, as they will be under just as much consideration. McCain had a chance until he picked Palin. She tanked his campaign faster than the Titanic going down.
  12. They have been stuck in the vicious "tech cycle" where lot's of consumers such as myself get tired of buying a device, only to have it be obsolete in a very short time. Big surprise most of their consumers aren't interested in running out every year or two to buy a new 4-500 camera when they just bought one a year before, that which BTW your screen, batteries, etc won't work on. It's sucky because as a business you have to keep on the leading edge of the available technology. Think about it, 4-500 buys you some other great gear in your sport, running out to buy another camera that will get you negligible gains in picture quality is not on the top of most people's list. Most people buying action cams just want decent quality video to "prove they were there" and the market is pretty much saturated. They aren't wooo-ed by 4k and such.
  13. For outside i've always used single pic mode up until gear up, then switch the camera over to .5 timed mode when I don my helmet right before exit. In 182 I typically get about 300-400 pics total on a jump, then delete about 50-100 of "dead time pics" from the time between helmet on and door, my canopy opening and performing quick check before killing cams, etc. I've still got a cx110 for vid still, but have used GP 3+ for awhile for stills and prefer the results over the older gens. However the older gens had larger batteries that seemed to last longer and could be swapped easier. IMO the older gens handled changing light conditions (Dark plane out into bright sunlight) better than the 3+ and 4. The session is a non-starter for me because of no changeable battery. If you use .5 make sure you have really good cards rated at the correct write speed, or the camera will get slowed down and you will not get true .5 second intervals on the newer cams due to the larger file size with higher MP sensors.
  14. Maybe they are stuck on the Clinton definition of "sexual relations".
  15. So you don't like the word "Rape" to describe whats happening. Lets force you to take a dick in the mouth, then in the ass, and then maybe get fucked in the ass by a broomstick as well. Let me know if you feel any difference between the three in how much you feel degraded and violated.
  16. A number of folks i know have set up outside buy backs in the Milwaukee area offering to purchase guns from folks before they get into the building where the buy back is taking place. They've been minimally successfull. They've had a few nice finds of high value antique firearms that the people were more than willing to sell in a private party transaction for more than the buy back was offering, but most of the guns that end up at these events are highly damaged/corroded/disassembled/etc or are just junky cheap crap like Hi-points that no respectable gun enthusiast would be interested in. In fact I've heard of other guys taking junky/broken guns that they picked up cheap to these events just to get money because nobody else would buy them and it was better money than throwing them away, then going and buying ammo with the proceeds. Great way to get rid of that junky old wall hanger grandpa had over the fireplace for 40 years.
  17. In every gorilla warfare situation that this countries military has encountered in the last several wars, we've very nearly handily had our ass handed to us. You guys seriously think the country could stomach anything but door to door tactics if STHF? Really think the ex-military folks, who for the most part are gun owners, wouldn't come out of the woodwork in support of gun owners? I love the red herring argument that "oh you think your pea shooter is gonna go up against bombs and stuff?" This immediately leads me to the question of "do you really think the guys being told to bomb their fellow countrymen would do it?", "How many anti-gunners would stay anti-gunners once they see their friends and families being taken down by their own countries military (which by the way is also against federal law)?". Most importantly I really question if the people throwing out this argument actually secretly would enjoy, encourage, and take pleasure in this scenario, because usually they say if with somewhat of a smirk on their face.
  18. Make sure you only buy Panasonic for L&B stuff. According to them Panasonic is the only magical battery that their altis will run on.
  19. The other things that folks fail to realize is that the amendments don;t spell out those rights granted to you by the government to exercise. Quite the opposite. It lists those rights which one is naturally born with (endowed by their creator), and that the government SHOULD NOT INFRINGE. The second amendment doesn't "allow" someone to purchase or own a firearm, it means that the government shall not infringe upon that right. What folks seem to get wrong most often is the comprehension of the framing documents. First by the language used, as at the time of the writings the contexts that words were used in was different. (ever read an old english book or even an original Shakespeare script?) The other commonly misunderstood thing being that the the framing documents for the country put all the power in the people's court. There are ways for the citizens to redress nearly every aspect of the government and to throw it out if necessary. Of course the government has done a great job in it's government run education system of glazing over these facts and making sure that the general public is not educated in intricacies of the documents that created the government.
  20. That's right. Healthcare is a mere privilege. Now a gun, a gun is something everybody needs a right to. That is important! It's a pretty simple concept, freedom and rights. I don't care if it's guns or tomatoes, my purchasing something in a free market doesn't force anyone to do anything for me or to give me their goods and it doesn't infringe on anyone's rights. Forcing someone to provide me their services, along with their goods is an infringement on THEIR rights and freedoms.
  21. no, you don't have a right to healthcare. I'd explain why, but I think Sen Paul does a much better job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUXwDMqjC-A
  22. What I think that the hardline democrat folks don't realize is that a large part of their base does not agree with their anti-gun antics, especially when it comes to the union base that they depend on to win elections for them. When you talk about the fly-over states that go blue you are talking about mid-west states that are only blue due to high union membership. These are states full of hunting and shooting loving pipefitters, electricians, carpenters, and factory workers that only support the dems because their union tells them it's in their best interest to do so. Many of these folks however draw the line at their gun rights. In states like Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Indiana and the like tailgates like this are very common to see.
  23. So recently I had an advertising picture come across my FB feed from a drop zone showing a tandem landing, and the TI had a Gopro session on their helmet. I cannot fathom why any TI would take the unecessary risk of strapping a camera to their head for footage that really isn't going to show much. Is any other place doing this?
  24. BTW where is the outrage for what appears to be a much larger cause of child death, one that has continued to steadily rise and is completely controllable....poisoning. https://www.preventinjury.org/PDF/2013-Poisoning
  25. While such training could be useful, what part of the current curriculum would you suggest dropping to make room for firearm safety? Math? Science? Language arts? Most elementary schools (at least here in Georgia) have done away with recess, and lunch is generally only 1/2 hour, to make time for all the required material to survive all the standardized tests. Anyway, it's usually the dumbass adults who need the training about not leaving guns where young children can pick them up. However Georgia, at least, requires 0 training, absolutely nothing, before issuing a concealed carry permit. No requirement to demonstrate you can hit a barn door, no checking to make sure you have a clue about the legal aspects of using a firearm, no gun safety training, nothing. The same is true, of course, for any gun purchases, private or through a dealer. It seems a bit odd to expect a 6-year-old to take responsibility for gun safety, but give the adults in the home a free pass. Back 1,000 years ago when I took driver's ed, we had to watch videos of dismembered bodies, or people who had their faces scraped off as they went through a windshield. Gruesome, but it sure made the point that driving a car was not a trivial matter, there are serious consequences if you mess up. Perhaps purchasing a firearm could be accompanied by having to watch a video that shows what can happen when that firearm is misused, or stored where kids can find it. However I'm sure the NRA would never allow that. Don Oh I dunno, maybe in health class, where they talk about all the other social and personal health issues. Or perhaps physical education class, where it used to be. In my schools we had archery in physical education. In my father and grandfather's classes they had marksmenship. In my father's high school what is now a wrestling practice area was once a firing range that was open to rental for shooting in the evening to the general public. Funny how everyone wants to bash the NRA, yet the NRA has spent, and spends millions of dollars a year developing, producing, and giving firearms safety training material for both minors and adults.
