    micron question

no problems on the security issue from me (always stays in place). you just need to get used to the shape after jumping a hacky... blues, Marcus
  5. If one of your pc105 is PAL you could bring one to the UK .... blues, Marcus
  6. I saw somewhere a post that the following camera's have the same size: PC5/8/9/101/103/104/105 could someone confirm that? Looking for a replacement for my 105 too.. blues, Marcus
  7. please keep me informed if you are able to jump there and what the conditions are. If you need any advice about gear just let me know. blues, Marcus
  8. Hi, I will be there end of November. If you need more information you can join the yahoo group : [email protected] I got a reply straight away and I can't wait to jump there the view looks amazing (see pic)... Let me know when you are there. blues, Marcus
  9. just a quick check did you take the 120GB Serial ATA drive (5400rpm) hard drive or the 100GB Serial ATA drive (7200rpm)? blues, Marcus
  10. Please let us know how you get on. I'm thinking of the same investment.. cheers, Marcus
  11. Was driving there last weekend from East London (City Airport). Took me about 1 1/2 hours. If I remember right I took the M11, A14 and then A1... Easy to find AND they have a Skyvan at the moment.. blues, Marcus
  12. sorry for the delay. Me and my wife got the most beautiful jumpsuits from Liquid Sky we ever jumped. They look very cool (with our own design) and fly very well... Big thank you to Julio for all his help and patience. blues, Marcus
  13. Just a quick question on that issue. Last year I was a full member of the BPA, but this year I don't want to spend so much jumping in the UK. For next weekend I wanted to do a temp membership, is there any rule against this? blues, Marcus
  14. If you can't find a nice DZ in the UK, or you are not willing to pay the BPA membership (like me ) ,you still can go to France / Dieppe. A ferry goes from Newhaven to Dieppe. It is a nice friendly dropzone with a great sight. blues, Marcus
  15. does someone has experience with a canopy with vectran and HMA lineset? Is there any difference in the openings? I got an old Nitro from a friend and a rigger put vectran lines on it. I haven't jumped it, but I guess the performance will suffer quiet a lot. Any infos on that? blues Marcus
  16. mine was packed by Chris Lynch in Headcorn and he had no problem. Does not seems to be such a big issue. It does not look complicated on the instruction and the colour-code helps. blues Marcus
  17. I jumped a Safire 149 for 400 jumps and had very nice openings. Just remember the different sizing of the first series of Safire's it's much smaller than your Sabre 150. blues Marcus
  18. the right to jump on a BPA affiliated DZ.. sorry could not hold it... blues Marcus
  19. Been a couple of times to Perth, I have good friends there and the parties are great. Probably the largest DZ in WA. They have a caravan and if they are not so busy they take the 206 to 14kft. I have never been to WA Skydiving Academy. If you go to Melbourne visit Nagambie (they have a PAC 750 XL) or Picton / Sydney (Skyvan). blues Marcus
  20. Picton seems to be a very good DZ for tandems and students .... Pattaya is a very nice place to jump, if you going back say hello to Danniel from Marcus. There is the ThaiSky Festival in March (Niels is one of the organizers) try to make it (you can do your AFF there too). This is one of the nicest boogies I ever been (jumping a Hercules C-130)... how I wish I could be in Thailand right now
  21. something in between the size 190 or 170. If you could get some more jumps on a rental gear you could go for the 170. If you want to buy something straight away you might take it a bit slower and go for the 190... I would prefer a 9cell canopy like a Sabre, Safire, Pilot ..... whatever you get in this country... blues Marcus
  22. I would have a look at the Nitro too. They built sizes from 150 - 78 sqft. I jumped a 135, 120 and 108, they have very nice openings and a great flare. Hiper is also very helpful with demo canopies, I tested a Blade last year in Perris. The Nitro is not as aggressive as a Stiletto and a bit more fun than a Safire. I think it is a very innovative canopy. Maybe you can give it a try.. blues Marcus
  23. I don't know either, will try my luck in Headcorn this weekend when it's not raining. I've been already to Hibaldstow (was a great place) and to Weston (my girlfriend did not like it so much with all the army blokes). I'm trying to get to know some freeflyers which we can jump with, but in the UK the skydiving scene seems to be a very "cliquey" group .. will continue to try my luck blues Marcus
