  1. Then I would tend to stay with the largest canopy that I liked...no matter what the color...you like the 210...get the 210. Oh yeah, and all the girls tell me it not the color that matters it's how you fly with it
  2. Have you maxed out the performance of what you have been jumping? Why a new main?
  3. Woohoo!! Congrats, and hope to see you up at west point one weekend.
  4. Then it sounds like 235 might be a good weight to aim for.
  5. 1st- I don't want to hear the word cheeseburger! I have lost 30lbs and still smoke'n down on my weight...300to 700 calories per day most days with a day off now and then. 2nd- even when i was 235-240lbs I was always trying to hug a beach ball in freefall...just to stay up with everyone else. I was hoping to find some other people with smoking fall speed... I could go with someone who does head down and have someone to fly with I was just wondering how many other big guys are out there....and what rate they had.
  6. So it is true! After 14 years of trying to turn back into a whuffo, they make you take the WHOLE AFF 1st jump course I fell of of a plane this weekend over beautiful West Point Virginia
  7. I have always jumped a f-111 canopy. This weekend, for the first time, I jumped a navagator which is zp on top and f-111 on bottom so it flies like zp but not so hard to pack... It was much, much nicer to fly the zp ad it made landing soooo much easier. I will not go back to f-111 unless there is no other option
  8. Skydiving is the most awsome thing I have ever done. I have always wanted to be a skydiver...I always will... I believe skydivers are skydivers from birth. If you know you want to do it, Don't worriy about the risk just jump. If you don't know, jump until you do, then go with it or cutaway
  9. If you fiddle with your rig and/or repack if without jumping it ...be sure to check the brake stows in case you have knocked one lose
  10. I think he ment you can earn money at packing and still be learning by being around the dz...kill two birds with one stone.
  11. Nope the discharge blast from the clippings chute might cause an accidental opening
  12. Ok! My name is Ray and I am jump-aholic....It has been 13yrs since my last jump but I still think about it every day. I spend too much time on dz.com and yes I have worn my rig around the house (see attached)
  13. Great job saving your life....That is a bad malfunction IMO You can eat up alot of air with a total.
  14. Uhhhh...I musta missed the exception on the experience level requirement If someone is a great rw flier...I'll try reading it again
  15. Ross the experience level rules are not for when things go right...They're for when exerything goes to sh*t in a hand basket
  16. Holy Shoot Batman! People make mistakes...We walk away from them if we are lucky. Know thy self and thy skill level!
  17. Then there is the best option. Landing at night, under a reserve you have never flown, and landing in a tree just short of the drop zone
  18. See now the first thing I said was "OH SHOOT!!" or something like that
  19. I think that sounds like a great idea thepaintballguy! Learning what effect body, leg, arm, hand, and head position has on your movement in freefall would be simpler if that was all you had to do
