  1. Anyone jump at Albrook AFB around 1969???
  2. I also just want to say thanks to Simon. I just finished his Master Rigger's course this afternoon - with success. It was a long three days, but worth it.
  3. Plan that hot 4-way so I can video it - that would be fun!!
  4. I heard the same, but camping in a tent is free!
  5. I agree there is a percentage that only do one sport, basically live at the DZ and do nothing else. I mountain bike two to three times a week on single track. Golf once or twice a week. During the Winter I snowboard (Alpine). Combine this with working 50+ hours a week. We have to have fun!!
  6. I agree. I put a Cypres in two years ago after twelve years without. I would have no problem jumping without, but it is one additional safety device that may save a life. I know I can pull, but incidental contact may prevent that. Blue skies
  7. Terry, I picked up the 20U several years ago from "Owens" in Grand Rapids. That is not too far from Gobles, it might be worth checking out. It is not a heavy duty machine and is not a bar tack machine, but is handy with it's straight and zig-zag capabilities.
  8. A group from my DZ came back from Eloy in February - they learned how to flat pack their elipticals - from Batwings to Stilletos. They appear to pack faster ,but looks sloppy from nose to tail. Each person has put their own personal touch to each pack job. At this point there has been nothing unusual except an occasional snappy opening, but normally on heading.
  9. This an interesting topic. I am an Alpine snowboarder, but ride my freestyle board in the halfpipe occasionally. Gone over the handle bars on my mountain bike. I've been jumping about 12 years. Got my AFF rating last year. Turned 52 in December. I would say go for it - have fun. Bruce
