  1. NINJA TURTLES, till the day I die. I had quite the t-shirt and underwear collection when I was little. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  2. Log your first 500 for sure. I wish I would have logged more, but after my D and Pro rating I stopped logging. For rating after that you just need currency and show you meet certain requirements, so theoretically you just need to log the jumps needed for a rating after that. You may have 5000 jumps, but your log book may show 550 to get a coach or tandem rating. Like I said before I wish I had logged more, but every jump is not necessarly necessary after a certain point. Have a signing party if you have something coming up. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  3. its the bridal shorter? looks like it, but it could be the pc size in comparison that is throwing me off. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  4. I'm from Louisiana (I now live in Texas), and that DZ has been shut down for 1.5 to 2 years, now. If your in Lake Charles, Groundrush Skydiving is in Kountze, Tx, they are not open every weekend. Or come to Houston, the skydiving is good over here. Skydiving in West and Southern Lousiana has been dead for a few years now. The last year I was there, I primarily only made demo jumps. Tandem mill?

  6. Bloody nose from a boogey board. Not in the ocean, but in the sky. Note to self: Cheap styrofoam boogie boards may break in half during opening and smack you in the face. I still landed with it. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  7. No need to continue skidiving. Based on your post, you have enough knowledge about gear. Go a head and take the leap. What is the worst that can happen? Don't forget the GoPro. If its not on film, it did not happen. You should post on the Beginners Forum on basejumper.com. They will be more than kind and helpful to your questions. 9. This was my first time reading this. Sounds like someone went through a lot of trouble and applying fancy names to define a "steep track". Just my initial thoughts. Thanks for posting. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!

    Ouch

The sad thing is that my family tells me something similar and I'm only 23. Apparantly I didn't get the memo about having to get married right after high school and settle down to live the rest of my life without setting my goals too high. What was I thinking? I just finished college and got a job in Houston, and the first thing my sister told me was, "Now its time for you the settle down, get married and have kids." I just laughed it off.
  11. Yeah I'll tell the auction winner that a crazy Russian may one day demand to have the Prisoner of War flag back...:)[/pirate] If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  12. Thanks. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  13. Any good sources for a durable POW/MIA flag 5x8 or a little bigger? All my demo flags have been hand me downs thus far, but I need to buy a new one to auction off at the demo to benefit the son of a fallen jumper. This jumper passed away in a plane crash after a demo we did for the same Veteran's group last year. Thanks in advance.
  14. That made me laugh. My last girlfriend bailed me out of jail (nothing violent or intentional, just stealing some altitude) not to long beofore we broke up. So, I owed her money once we broke up. Needless to say she kept in close touch until she was paid up. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
  15. Ahh. Thats the DZ I grew up at. I've been involved in some stupid stuff. I wouldn't take it back, but I wouldn't put someone in the same situation. You learn fast, but its dangerous as hell. Good times. If you're not living on the edge; you're taking up too much room!
