  1. Sorry to be reviving an old thread. I came across the Kalispell pic and showed my dad. He said that he's pretty sure that DC-3 in the photo is the one that crashed at Athol. Anyone know if that's the case?
  2. Was searching for some information on an old friend and ended up coming across this site. I've been reading through a bunch of the history threads and it brings back a ton of memories of people and stories from when I was a kid. I grew up in North Idaho (Athol) around a lot of skydiving in the 80s. My dad (Bob LaFrance) flew a lot of jumps. I remember parties at Hackney airpark outside of Athol. I spent many summer days at Lost Prairie killing time playing pool between my dad's flights. I'm sure I met some of you 20+/- years ago when it seemed like life revolved around airplanes and skydiving. Those are some of the greatest memories I have. I am yet to have jumped...not really sure if I ever will. When I was around it as a kid, I wanted nothing more than to have Tom Canarrozzo tell me that I was big enough to jump. He told me that as soon as I fit, he'd let me jump with him...as far as I know he's not really jumping anymore, otherwise I might take him up on it.
