Crossfire1 has 5 D-lines on each side while Crossfire2 has 4. (I could remember wrong though).

What camera do you have? These shots are all taken on Century Optics .3X lens and have almost zero vingnetting. http://db.cs.helsinki.fi/~masaari/cgi-bin/ufusite/showimage.php?image=photo018&year=2005 http://db.cs.helsinki.fi/~masaari/cgi-bin/ufusite/showimage.php?image=photo024&year=2005 http://db.cs.helsinki.fi/~masaari/cgi-bin/ufusite/showimage.php?image=photo023&year=2005

Performed poorly, huh, have you ever jumped Crossfire1? The ones I have jumped performed anything but poorly, and infact I liked it more than any other 9-cell I have jumped so far. None of them was affected by the recall though (those were built in Europe and not by Precision) and I still own one, it is built before the recall, but in Europe and was not affected.

Just like speedy said, lines do often some weird things during the opening.. Watching them frame by frame, you see some funky stuff.

Nice one, way to go Vesa.

Few pictures from the last weekend can be found here!

Probably just as cold as it was to jump those.

Yea, 6 months winter brake is over, and hell was it fun again. United Freeflyers of Utti

Uh, well I guess I do it on every jump. Why? I see no reason spending time to slow down since not a single canopy I've jumped has had any bad reactions to dumping in track. (If not BirdMan jumps count, Stiletto seemed to have brisk openings if openend from full flight).

Crossfire2?
-
It has happened me several times with Stiletto 120 and Crossfire 119, no problems. Few times both canopies have spun up into linetwists but have managed to kick out of the twists so far.

1031 exits from one Twin Otter in a day

Gotta agree with Jannu. Pure fun. I contributed with 16 jumps, and definitely on the next day I had sore muscles. -
No proper stills but here is a video capture.

Rear riser landings, when is too soon?
flow replied to WrongWay's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
After reading other replies it seems I may have been a bit early but just last weekend I made my first rr swoops. Since then on every landing I've practiced using them and getting a good feeling what can be done. How did I end up doing this? Like Treejumps mentioned, after frontriser turn hands went to rears and everything felt perfect, even had a good time to think am I going to do it or do I flare with toggles, and just pushed them apart. Ended up little high but I think thats better than being low. -
Thanks, compliments should go to our videographer though.

Had a nice weekend competing in Hanko Open and thought I'd share few good shots from our jumps.

Have you tried this? http://www.aerodyne-int.com/sportlight/ For those who can't get into the flash site.
-
There is one at my DZ but can't really comment anything about the usability or such. The image quality though looks very good and the colours are bright and the user seems to be very happy with it. I'll probably have to ask him more about it since I'm on a market for a camcorder too and GS120 looks very good in the specs.
-
Just curious have you tried similarly sized and loaded Crossfire? Like 99 and 109? Thought that comparing the diving/flying characteristics on differently loaded canopies can be difficult.
-
We had a very nice weekend and I thought I'd share a vid from sunset load swooping the local beach near DZ. http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/masaari/kayris/kayris_xvid.avi Good times.

I just recently contacted them through the contact form on their website on got answer on the same day? Sounds odd.

Me landing my former Hornet 135sqft. I have few pics of my 150sqft Hornet too but couldn't find those now. It was a sweet canopy.
