  1. i have never seen a x-shut mount. Can it be sunk into a helmet shell to make it nice and flush
  2. The zkulls is a very good mount just got to much movement. I jumped it on Saturday all went very well hear is the finish helmet, pics by Steve@2kcomposites
  3. Thanks for your reply The mount is chopped into the helmet so its not any wider than a standard fuzion. I wanted a mount the was adjustable for different styles of skydiving and i only have to take one helmet with me when i go away jumping It also packs away smaller in my all read full kit bag..
  4. I ordered a new fuzion from 2k composites with two zkulls mounts and sent it back two days later. The zkulls mounts had so much movement it wasn't funny. So having my own engineering shop decided to make my own. I sent 2kc two aluminium plug to stick in there mould and had them make me some helmet shells to play with I have finish the mount and have sent one of the helmets back to be painted and fitted up with all the bits. Hear is the result so fare. I would appreciate other peoples thoughts on the matter, is it worth spending good money on these and putting into production or should i leave to zkulls.
  5. For all you camera flyers without a LANC plug in you cameras take a look at Hypoxic's web site they have a new toy called the Hypeye.
  6. 2Kcomposites are making a small helmet for the girls. it is a smaller version of there new helmet called fusion it is made for head 55cm and smaller. I also have a very small head and have all ready placed my order for one it look cool.
  7. Thanks Project41 for your help i will contact 2kc and i might get them to fit one for me. There new helmet is ready now, but i don't no the price. contact Dawn here email is [email protected]
  8. Just got some pictures from Dawn at 2kc of their new helmet. This helmet has been made to fit the new Zkulls mount from RCB Lab. Has anyone fitted a Zkulls to there helmet? If so, was it difficult to fit and do they work a good as they look?
  9. 2K composites also have a new helmet using these Zkull mounts , i have asked dawn at 2K for some pictures and will post them when they arrive.
  10. There are lot of good helmet on the market to choose from, what makes a good camera helmet and what are they all missing in your opinions.
  11. The camera takes seconds to remove from the FF3, and the only thing you cannot do with the camera when its in the helmet is change the tape. The cookie box is a top mount and the FF3 is a side mount witch lets you mount a stills camera on the top. Every one compairs 2KC FF2 and FF3 to cookie's and boanhead composites helmets, thay are all good helmet but thay are not the same.
  12. I have a cookie .3 lens with a filter mounted on the front. The problem is that the lens picks up the ring of the filter so i have to zoom in the camera to fix this problem. I am mounting the lens on a HC47E, is it my camera or dose this happen on other cameras, If so what is the fix. Can anyone help.
  13. I think the old FF2 is limited to what size it can be due to the moulded lenz hole and the way the box closes. I looked at getting an FF2 and the only difference is the hinge ,lenz hole and the way it closes. It is the same size as the FF2 only there is more room for the cameras and much easier to you.
  14. I Horny Hear is my FF3. there are two styles of camera cover. I have the PC style box witch will also fit the early models of the HC cameras like the HC20/40. There is another cover for the later HC cameras witch including the HC90/96 and HD3/5/and 7. The helmet was £235.00 including VAT and P&P i think it was worth every penny. I payed £240.00 for my old cookie and for that i got a helmet with a chincup and a flat side to mount my camera to and No camera box.
  15. Hear is my new FF3, it is the PC style box. You can change the cover to fit the HC range of cameras, it is quick and easy to do and the new covers are only £30.00 or less
  16. I have just ordered an FF3 from 2kC, it's like an FF2 only a lot simplar in that the box closes with a really strong bungee strap and takes only a second to access the camera. I paid £195.00 GBP which is around $395 USD. I should have it in about a weeks time, as soon as I do I will post some pictures. I couldn't see it on there web site but after calling them and speaking to Steve, he told me all about it. I also have one of there new carbon Side FX's and it is fantastic.
  17. take a look at http://www.tonfly.com/Cam-Covers_500967.html.

  20. I am also a first time camera flyer, I fitted a bonehead cutaway to my cookie helmet and it did not work under a heavy load. A friend of pull really hard on the chincup and when we cut it away the pin jammed, Please make shore yours dosen't jam up when you pull the chincup realy hard. As there will be a lot more wait when some one is hanging from it. Sorry for the doom and gloom.
  21. I had a look at the Schumacher mount, it seem a lot of hardware just o mount a site.
  22. Yes i think you can buy it separately. It comes from 2Kcomposites, its not on there website yet so give them a call.
  23. The sight work just fine for what i want to use it for. I'm not a professional camera man i'm a fun jumper, and I can move it out of the way when i am under my canopy. The holder comes with an adaptor to fit a newton sight if i ever decide to film for money.
  24. the 2kc mount comes with both metal and plastic fastenings, so you can use ether
