  1. The craziest part of the whole thing was not the landing. It was how long that canopy stayed in a dive (with him pretty much horizontal to it) after he did a few spirals and then stopped turning. I've never seen anything like it!
  2. Just ordered Boneheads mudflap mount. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for all the input! Just want to clarify...reading won't be accurate on your back, but it should be while flying on your head, correct?
  4. Just curious as to how many people choose a chest mount for their altimeter for freeflying. I know of one team member who used a digital altimeter on a chest pillow and was thinking that this would make keeping track of altitude, especially while in a head to earth position and while keeping the hands busy with numerous docks, a bit easier. My concern is if a pillow mount effects the accuracy of the reading while in freefall and again under canopy. I would be putting an Altimaster III Galaxy on mine if I choose to go this route. Any input or experiences are appreciated!
  5. Hey Ed, We did 3 Friday...1st from about 9 grand, could barely see the DZ. Did next two from about 6, hop & pops and a nice three way :-) Saturday, we got 5 in from 13,000 before the smoke blew in again...not sure about Sunday...went to Cal-City to avoid the smoke and got winded out after one jump :-I Hopefully, next weekend will be better...if you are thinking about coming to jump, make sure you get there early...smoke has been blowing in around 2 or 3 PM. __________________________________________
  6. A friend has a theory that maybe he is autistic????????
  7. I have a Mamba and it already has audible pockets inside the liner on each side...just slide your audibles in and out... no need to be peeling the lining. Maybe that is just mine??? _______________________________________________
  8. When Dave's mother was called immediately after the incident happened, one of the first things that she said was that she took comfort in knowing that he was doing what he loved. One of my nicknames for Dave was "the machine". Like Sean said, he was on every load and if there is a DZ on the other side, Dave has already gotten a few jumps in by now. 9. Yeah! You are doing it.....thinking maybe my beautiful new smile had something to do with it But seriously, after you get the permanent ones, it take about two weeks for them to settle in and one day you wake up and forget that they aren't all yours and you can't stop smiling because they look so darn good. Can't wait to see the final results! ~Mel (I'm posting from Voodoo's account by the way...sorry for any confusion) __________________________________________________
