airtwardo***Their current aircraft "Dracula" follows that path his father laid, wouldn't you agree?
http://youtu.be/0oqXOgaLpFg
Maybe...tough act to follow for Kyle though.
When Jimmy first put the jet on his Waco, Les Shockley (Shockwave Jet Truck) came over to help him out, they ducted it to what 'looks about right' and fired it up - after it caught the blacktop taxiway on fire Jimmy put the spurs to her. The fit was perfect!
Kyle use to wingwalk that jet Waco!
I saw videos of this wingwalking act...INSAAAANNEE!! As someone who did wingwalking this past summer, I can't imagine doing it on a biplane that has a JET ENGINE on it. -
Q. How many Freudian scholars does it take to change a lightbulb?
A. Two. One to hold the lightbulb, and one to hold the penis...I mean LADDER! ONE TO HOLD THE LADDER! -
promise5Why not have them on your own?
Well, what if (for example) you can't find someone who you actually WANT to have children with? -
formatWhat do you mean by "having children"?
You still don't know how it's done? -
LuckyMcSwervy***Say you were happy living the single life (or should I say the non-married life), but you were getting up there in age, and you knew you wanted children...would you consider having children with a good friend of the opposite sex? And, how would you go around approaching such an arrangement?
Just curious...
I wouldn't. I'm of an old school, Catholic line of thinking where children should only be conceived in the sanctity of marriage.
Please don't bash me. I'm just not up for it tonight.
Why would I (or anyone else) bash you? It's your opinion based on something you believe in.
My comment to grue was based on a Facebook comment from a little while back. He knows what I'm referring to... -
grueI can't give you an honest answer because I cannot imagine wanting children
You...irresponsible.....ass!!! -

Tink1717There have been so many....
....still waiting for the horror stories here. -
What was your worst date? Let's hear them!! -
That was beautiful.

Any saxophone players here? What's your instrument preference, and do you take lessons, play in a band on the side, jam with some friends at parties, etc.? -
BIGUNI once dated a girl that was the heiress to the Kohl's family fortune. And, then I found out...
So...what happened? -
ryoder***...and go!
Do you realize you are asking for relationship advice from a bunch of *skydivers*???
Nooooo...is THAT what I did??? -
...and go! -
normissI would have been confused had I been asked that question.
WTF?
Andrea and I have a tendency to pay for other's meals.
This past weekend having brunch, table behind us was the gentleman's 86'th birthday!
We paid for their lunch and left. It's better to just do it and them not know - some people are too proud to accept random kindness.
Exactly. People don't have to be of a certain faith/race/gender to do good deeds, whether it's buying someone a coffee, paying someone's toll, helping change a tire, etc...
And good on you and Andrea for doing that. -
I was in Starbucks yesterday waiting for my coffee order, and I saw some gentleman order his coffee, and he then proceeded to pay for the 2 people behind him. The cashier smiled and thanked him, and so did the people. Then the cashier asked him this question:
"Are you a Christian?"
To which the guy said no. The cashier then asked "So you just like to do a good deed here and there?" The guy said yes, got his coffee, thanked him, and walked out.
The cashier's question surprised me a bit. So in his mind, did he think that the only people that do good deeds are Christians? Was a pretty unusual question, at least in my mind. -

I usually say 'well, that took under a year...just like the last few'
Quite a few of my ex's have found some one and have either gotten engaged or married within a year after we had broken up. I'm still good friends with quite a few of them, and I still get along with their spouses, their families, etc.
There is one ex who is married now...she was my first love. That will be a tough one to forget...if that ever happens... -
Silva proved three things.
1. Showboating and not respecting your opponent's ability will bite you in the ass sooner or later.
2. He has a glass chin. One shot and he's down?? Common, even Arlovsky can take a punch better than him! Granted, noone has been able to lay a hand on Silva in 7 years, so his chin has never really been tested. But still...
3. Noone is unbeatable.
Still couldn't believe it when I saw it.
And Frankie Edgar is the energizer bunny from hell! -
As some of you may have seen from my earlier post, I finally fulfilled a dream of wingwalking, and also conquered my fear of heights by finally jumping off a bridge...twice! (bungee, not base ) While I've heard quite a few 'man that's effin' awesome!' comments, I heard more comments like "oh you're crazy/insane/fucked up in the head for doing this, it's risking your life for absolutely no reason, there's something wrong with you/your life if you need to get such a thrill from bungee jumping/skydiving/wingwalking/"
I just don't get it. Is it because all those activities are so far outside of the norm for most people that they think it's a pointless risk? Or is it because they are...
a. afraid to conquer their fears
b. afraid to pursue their dreams
or
c. are they just jealous we have balls (sorry ladies but you know what I mean)...and they apparently do not?
Someone explain this to me...because I just don't get it anymore. -
jumpwallySweet,,,where was that at and what did it cost ?

Vivid. Sad.
my guess after a few youtube views:
If it was not pilot incapacitated, it looks like it could be elevator control failure.
Very sad indeed. I think he was going too slow for this type of maneuver and the plane stalled. Had he been higher... -

Has been a dream of mine for over a year and a half, and now...that dream has been realized.
And yes, I know how most of you can't fathom the idea of climbing out of a plane without a rig...much less landing with a plane! But after the first loop, all my fears were released. It was beyond...awesome.
…and now I know your username here, too
Well, you're a sharp one.
Confucius say:
Knife sharp like a grue
Cuts like the ocean flies
OK, I'll be point man to catch all the flak, and say "HUH?"
Confucius also say:
Grue is few fries short of full happy meal.
