  1. Thanks so far to all who have viewed, rated or commented. It has only been up 4 days, and has had over 1,000 views, plus the response from people is great.... Definitely more productions to be made now, I'm glad people are getting something out of this.... Thanks all. Blair.
  2. Hi All.... Hope this belongs here rather than in the general chat I've just completed my university degree, and for the final major project I decided to do a short Doc on Parachute history. It's based on UK history, but there are common historical moments that apply to all parachuting... The link is just below and plays in YouTube, I hope that people will enjoy it. If you do, please feel free to leave a comment and give it the thumbs up. VIDEO LINK (Please leave a thumbs up or comment if you like it, thanks) 10 Minutes wasn't enough to get any way near all the information I researched into the piece, but I've tried to put some of the really interesting pieces in .... For example, I was pretty amazed that there have been around 100 clubs that have operated in the UK! Hope you enjoy it. Comments and feedback really appreciated on the YouTube site. Thanks. Blair
  3. It's posted on the skydivingmovies.com http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=6046 thats the link to it.... I took into account the re-use of clips, and have stripped out a couple of the repetitive parts and replaced them... will upload the completed (revamped) bit after the nationals... Cheers for the feedback guys!! VERY much appreciated!
  4. ahh... ok you got me on that one... it should have said video editing.... you could make some money outta filming plumbing when it goes wrong.... plenty of shows on TV that pay for that kind of stuff ....
  5. Oh and if anyone DOES know of a camera with a standard resolution that has a higher frame rate (and isn't too large to use as a side mounted camera) please could they post a link or the cameras make and model, as I would love to see it.... Many thanks in advance
  6. I have been looking at some cameras recently as a replacement for my Sony PC1000e as I can hear the motors getting 'tired' I like this camera because of the slim design and the 3CMOS which gives a nice sharp image...... I haven't yet had the opportunity to play with an HD camera in the air... but have had a look at a few of the cameras available (usually too large for my current helmet) Then a strange though occurred.... I think I would rather have a camera capable of going higher than 25fps (PAL) or 29.97 (NTSC) frame rate..... especially as I do a lot of video work and slow some sequences down... (reason being when you slow footage down it looks quite poor) It seems that this consumer end of the market has been unexplored by many companies, although there was one that had a higher frame rate, but a lower resolution... Post your thoughts below.... Would you like to see cameras with higher frame rates (mostly for video work), cameras with higher resolution (HD etc) or perhaps something else I have missed....
  7. This is the 4th Skydiving Video I have made... It's incomplete and this is only section one of four (so far)... It's a link to YouTube.com... if the site admin or a moderator find this post and know of a better location for it .... please email me so I can post the next links there instead of here.... Also... if you like the clip (4:44 long) on YouTube please rate it.. cheers Any comments and/or suggestions welcome on it too... will be nice to get some feedback from you guys... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzNlloz72SQ Cheers in advance
