  2. Something just dawned on me (actually 2 things) as I sit & reflect on this thread... 1) I'll be 35, maybe even 36 when I finish school........that's kinda' old to START skydiving. I hope to at least be able to jump for the rest of my days from then on. 2) life goes by FAST!! 4. If I may ask, what is it you are on a quest for? Whatever it is, knowledge is good so go for it! Going to get a B.S. in biology (hopefully this will take no more than 2 years, since I have an AA degree). Then another 4 years of pharmacy school to get a Doctorate degree. 5. All I know right now is I have to brush up on algebra......then it's chem 1, chem 2, physics...& all kinds of other fun stuff. Going to finish as fast as I can (it will be a while nonetheless though) so that I can finish & get my life in order.
  6. Isn't THAT what your doing when trying to figure the odds your getting into heaven? Yes, but 1st you have to figure out what X is. Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of
  7. Wtf is theological math? errr.......nevermind... THAT, ladies & gentlemen is a prime example of how you see what you want to see when you sometimes read something... Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of

  11. It has been 3 years since I've been in a college classroom, & as of this morning I need to retake the most basic of algebra classes (I was looking at some chemistry). I was never great at math, so it's no surprise that I forgot so much so quickly. Then again, maybe forgetting something like this is normal if oyu don't use it for a while. How much do algebra & the alike do you remember? No matter what, I'm determined to get good at math & accomplish what I've set out to accomplish!
  12. Please critique this & let me know what you think. I used examples of various life experiences in effort to be remembered & standout from the rest; I hope what I wrote is fitting & appropriate. In my own critique of this I think that: 1) some of the words I use are repetative (the word "I" for example) 2) The language is not as sophisticated as I would like it to be. However, that could just be me being too critical of myself. What I'm asking in essence is - does it grab your attention & hold your interest? maybe I should take out the reference to skyiding, due to fear of someone finding this website & judging me based on some of my posts??... On the other hand, I think it fits the context of what I'm trying to express. 13. Lets just say I will have no social life whatsoever the next 6-7 years. The application process really isn't all that demanding; the G.P.A. requirement is 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. But you have to do your absolute best in order to get into the graduate pharmacy program. Hence why I'm not going to have a life outside of school for a long time starting soon. 14. My Goal is to go to pharmacy school. Hover, because my current G.P.A. may hinder acceptance right away my goal is to get a B.S. in molecular biology & then transfer to pharmacy school for the remaining 4 years of the Graduate program. Yes, it'll be a difficult 6-7 years, but I will have attained a PhD thus be very marketable. Why pharmacy? - because enjoy science, & particularly like the subject matter that someone with a pharmD degree has to study. Furthermore, I thoroughly enjoy working with people. Pharmacy also pays very well. A Bachelors degree doesn't really do as much as it used to, especially for me in having a disability & therefore needing to prove myself valuable in the workplace. I need the maximum amount of education that one can get. If my plans change I can always fallback on my B.S. degree and pursue higher levels of education in the various fields of biology. 15. "Professional Pillow Biter" And let me guess - Divot should be the 1 to write me a letter of recommendation, right?... You know Divot and the way HE travels around... I wouldn't doubt ya can pull a name outta any phone book anyplace in the country and somewhere-sometime, he's either fed 'em, fought 'em or fucked 'em! Jim, I love you and your brand of humor. 17. Thanks man, 1 could always use a little humor to make the day that much better.
  18. Maybe they're after people who can think for themselves - Just sayin' That makes completely sense, & I likewise completely agree with your conclusion. All I'm saying is I haven't written an essay in 4 years & would appreciate a rough idea of how to approach this task. 19. I need ideas of how to write a personal statement on a college application. I've never written 1, so I have no idea what to write. The thing with me is, once I get rolling I'm good to go. The thing about this 1st app that I'm doing is that the college isn't asking anything in particular; it's opened; you just got a white box titled "personal statement". All I need is a rough idea of what the admissions committee is looking for. Help brainstorming or a bullet point outline would be grat. Thanks!
  20. You just think that because you know they're all talking 'hands free' to each other...about you! Holy crap, that pic is funny! Edited to add: Now THAT is a twat! Dialogue/commentary between Divot, Twardo & myself - "from your first Oshkosh when the three of us were riding to or from one of

  22. Hey, Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation of a great bluetooth earpiece?... I don't like how they look & whatnot, but because I walk with crutches I can never pickup a phone call in the traditional sense. Most people use them when driving - I on the other hand need 1 for most of the day. I already have a good phone (blackberry curve 8320) - so now I just need a get a good earpiece. I need something that has great sound quality, good battery life & is comfortable to wear. I could read articles online, but I want to hear 1st-hand experiences. Thanks.
  23. Wow Paul, I'm impressed!
  24. Been there Seen it.... LOVED it for all that you pointed out. Now we just need to wait for Paul to show up and over analyze it and give his usual naysayer critique Funny you say that, because as I was writing this post I was thinking: "hmmm, I wonder how Paul is going to respond to this?..." Ya know, it's amazing how many bad reviews are circulating around the net. You can't please everyone I guess, & to each his own I suppose...but what kind of super crack are people smoking these days?! 25. Did anyone else see it already? I went to the midnight premeire last night & thought I'd give my opinion, in case others are on the fence about seeing it. I think it is an absolutely brilliant film! The storyline was great & unique; it added new elements into the story. It's unlike any of the other films. There is no shortage of action-packed scenes; it definitely keeps your interest & on your toes. The cinematography is great, & the music is also good. It infinitely makes up for the disaster of T3. I'm definitely seeing it again! - & I strongly recommend you give it a chance & check it out. You wont be disappointed!
