This is allready our second container from this company. My team mate and i had this one custum made with own logo's. Fit is great and the people from firebird are very helpfull. Very short delivery time's even when custum made. They do what they promise. First set of 2 containers was delivered within 2 weeks. (basic colors) Second set of 2 containers was delivered within 6 weeks. (custum logo's) Also the container has allready all options included, stainless steel, hiprings, very good padding for the back and legpads.
  4. And again whe have bought 2 brand new containers from this company. This time the delivery time was 5 weeks Also this time whe want a custom logo on the mainflap, see pictures for result. Logo Explain: Whe are magicians & freeflyers
  5. A friend of mine had a bag lock last summer because of tubestows. I can't place the movie here but he have it on his facebook account: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1288985544&v=info&viewas=1288985544#/jeanpaul.wolff
  6. That's the Storm I bought from them! Stock canopy, delivered in 3 days. And it flies great. My buddy and i have the same spectres in this color, below more pics.
  7. This is an example of one of the colors you can find under the storm and the spectre stockcolors from pd. (See attachment)
  8. Can't say much about this reserve but it saved my life twice in one week. It was on rental gear but my next own reserve would be a Smart.
  9. I bought a stock Spectre and it was delivered to me in Europe within 6 days. Loaded my Spectre 190 on 1.29 wingload. The Spectre opens very smooth and onheading. It had to get used to landing with the Spectre because in all my previous jumps I used 9 cell parachutes. My wingload is a little bit high in my experience (115 jumps at 1.29) but the Spectre is still very forgiving for beginners. (One time i didn't flare at all) Packing the (new) Spectre is a hell of a job for me, but I know this is due to my lack of experience. When other (experiend) skydivers are packing my Spectre they have no problems at all, so I guess I just have to practice more. I was looking for a slow opening parachute because of my high fallrate and I found it. I just love my Spectre. Update: 01-04-2010: Just bought my second one (170) because i lost 12-15 kg of bodyweight and still loving it :)
  10. Or read what other skydivers think of different gear: http://www.dropzone.com/gear/
  11. I had a problem with fast openings because of my speed, i'm 112 kg out of the door and i'm only 1.70 meters long, my fallspeed is between 210 - 230 km. A couple of weeks ago i bought a spectre 190 and i'm loving it, even for me it takes about 800 feet to open and it's very comfortable. I also demo a pilot but that snivel is longer than the spectre.
  12. I'm 254 lbs out of the door and i bought my first gear at about 60-65 jumps. I am flying a 210 ft. beginner/intermediate canopy from firebird and the only thing i have problems with are landings in no wind conditions. But the real reason is that i'm to lazy/fat to run as fast as my friends Also i know there are rules about sizing in other countries so the best thing you can do is ask your instructor.
  13. The rig is very good, the quadra v tec is a very nice main canopy with 2 lineet options, beginner set and intermediate line set. Folds very small for a main, the sizes they have are 150 - 170 and 190.
  14. I was only showing my new rig like a lot of other people do on dropzone.com This is a new container and has nothing to do what happend in the past with another container. It's only the same manufacturer.
  15. They changed the name from performance variable to Firebird ! Performance variable was indeed not a really good name for a manufacturer. It's a very comfortable rig, with all extra's inclusive. (hip rings, etc etc)
  16. Here a picture i found of a vector II Maybe i need glasses but i see a lot of difference between them
