  2. I'm sure there has been changes made ..... but as many riggers from my area and as an old DZM The wings where referred to as the dump your shoulder before deploying reserve rig .... I base my opinion on the older models i seen and watched popped and after all this is just my opinion EarthBoundMisfit

  4. to mjosparky: a manufacturer would never say there rigs have weak points . untill you see or ride a reserve from a wings you wont understand ..... i have an older wings around the 2000 model ..... and never has it launched past 4 foot EarthBoundMisfit
  5. as a S&TA .....IMHO yes you need experience in every part of skydiving to give advice to others in matters of safety and trainning..... how could i tell you what you need if i my self don't know.... EarthBoundMisfit
  6. yes in most cases the spring strength has allot to do with it ......take your talon one of the strongest springs it will bloody your nose if the closing loop breaks on repack...... EarthBoundMisfit
  7. Been flying a wings for years and have had to blaze the reserve a couple times.........don't take this wrong i like my wings but.......every one knows the wings and the javelin have the worlds weakest reserve springs..... take that for what its worth! EarthBoundMisfit
  8. trying to do alittle reserch on what a drop zone is covered under ........ is a dropzone covered under part 91 thus we don't have to go by the TBO of an aircraft? EarthBoundMisfit

    I have been in contact with Douglas S. Smith Chicagoland Skydiving Center in Hinckley, IL. It's not skyride and from what he has told me he might have a good idea time will tell EarthBoundMisfit
