  1. Awwwww....Never any love for us pilots. ....We are glorified elevator operators! Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  2. whoops... http://marketplace.amazia.com/para-service/prodinfo.asp?cn=249049&affid=&sku=AF3815&page=73&pagenumber=1&inverrmsg= There is the correct link. Although the Safire2 is pretty attracting too. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  3. http://marketplace.amazia.com/para-service/prodinfo.asp?cn=249007&affid=&sku=AF3818&page=73&pagenumber=1&inverrmsg= Im interested in buying a new Wings with the pilot 188 and reserve. Just wondering how good of a deal this is. Anyone have any advice for the 188 also? I have 25 jumps with the smallest canopy being 190 hybrid canopy of course. I am 190 pounds out the door. I would like to get a container that will fit the 188 and have the ability to downsize to the 168 after a couple hundred jumps. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  4. Thanks for the help everyone. Trust me, this wasn't the ONLY source for me to make a decision. I do have friends and instructors with mixed oppinions. Just wanted to get some votes from people who do not know me. Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully I will find my canopy soon. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  5. Did not mean to cause any debate. What i orginally posted seemed like i was a classic fresh skydiver who wants the smallest tightest rig around. Far from the truth, I wouldnt mind jumping a tie dye pink and purple rig with a 260 main in it for the next 2 years. As long as the rig has a reputation and is SAFE....not just airworthy but SAFE! I've had my close calls in airplanes that were "airworthy". I just wanted to know honestly, how safe would it be for me to jump a rig that has been sitting in my house. I need my legs as a professional pilot so i will wait on jumping a 170 until i have more canopy skills. I will look around for a 190-210 for now. But i just refuse to jump these dumpy old rigs. I am tempted to buy brand new unless i can find a good beginner rig. Not one of those early 1990's that has been modified a bagillion times. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  6. Thats the plan, Its in a marage container....Older 98 dom. But, its not mine ;) Ha, have to save for a rig....my friend apparently sent me in the wrong direction in terms of safety, Thats why i posted here to get a broader oppinion....My instincts were telling me otherwise. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  7. Thanks for the concern and advice. Im not in any hurry to downsize and I am well aware of hazardous attitudes that many skydivers and pilots can get from time to time. Im not going to jump the canopy, its just sitting in my house was wondering if its a go or no go from experienced people. Im going to wait and buy a 200 or a 190. Just a little itchy to get jumping....but thanks for the advice. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  8. Hey guys, Just wondering what the smallest canopy you would recommend for a 180lb 5'10'' A Licensed Jumper with 25 jumps. The smallest i have jumped was a 200 at Skydive New England. My Landings are 100% there. How do you guys think a Sabre2 170 would work out for me? Im a commercial pilot too so i know a bunch about how flying works. I know landing will all happen faster and i will have much more forward drive. It will also be my first time jumping a Zero P rather than those student hybrid ZP f-111, but is a 170 TOO small for me? Just over the 1:1 wing loading. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  9. Just wondering is anyone knows any good "Text Book" skydiving books. I need technical organized information about LEARNING to skydive. Im ready for my level 4 now and im the type of person who NEEDS to know as much as i possibly can at that given time. And i know...once i Stop learning, ill throw the towel in on skydiving. Books iv purchassed are JUMP and Parachute and its pilot. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  10. Ill be going to Skydive Long Island... Only because its close to my house. Haha, i think you are right about landing in a plane! Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
  11. 1st post here. Im a 20 year old pilot from Long Island NY. I've jumped once and I joined because i really want to learn more about skydiving and get my A this summer. Dont cry because its over...Smile because it happened!
