Great article Giles. But for an engineer like myself ....how crazy is to use the imperial units. They make no sense, and complicate all the math. It's funny to see how you mess with the equations to insert conversion factors, like from ft/sec to mph. It's not that it is impossible to understand, anybody can do the conversions. It just feels weird. I can understand the tradition and the people using the imperial system in they everyday life. But for engineering and technical stuff... You guys should switch to metric. You see how much easier everything is. Back to the subjet. Thanks for the article, really good. It reminds me of when I studied all this in the university.

Hello guys I am wondering if anyone has opened a GoPro HD. I just got one, and I was thinking that the form factor is not all that great.... It would be cool to separate the lens and sensor from the rest of the body. Then you could really have a very small thing in front (or on the side) of a full face RW helmet, and just mount the body on the back or somewhere else. I googled but found nothing. Thanks! Gonza

Hi, I am not from the US , and Im going to Las Vegas for a business convention, and I will have a free weekend so I would like to jump. First I thought Eloy, but its going to be a 6 hr drive on saturday, and then 6 hr back on sunday, and my plane leaves for home sunday night. So could anybody pls recommend a place near las Vegas? I found these 2 , but I am afraid they might be just tandem operations, or worst yet, a "virutal" DZ for tandems...
