  1. hi there, the vote was too approve the only known costs at that point ( BPA element of the membership not insurance )and to trust council to approve via an EGM the insurance costs once they are presented to the BPA later ( pre-April ) when the outcome of the two claims are known - this may be no increase - it is yet to be clarified by the HBSC insurer who are looking into the claims. The rise of BPA membership has to be discussed and voted on at an EGM ( hence an EGM prior to Council meet every December ) - so therefore an EGM has to be held once the insurance costs are known. Both the EGM and subsequent evening council meet are open to all members to attend and you can ask questions! The Council will then discuss / vote on the insurance element and subsequent BPA overall membership costs prior to renewals date. I am not sure the date of this EGM but the meeting dates will be on the website - there is a meet 13th Feb but i suspect that may be too soon to have the insurance info back so keep an eye on the March meeting date which is realistically the latest it can be ( renewal 1st April ). Debbie Carter will be happy to answer questions if you have them. Andy Scott
