The episode name is correct but the description is different, if its the correct show its a must watch. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  2. Well he claims to be a man of god and yet he seems to put the value of money above the care for a fellow human being. Sounds hypocritical to me... I guess its all a matter of opinion, morally and ethically I feel like its our responsibility as the wealthiest society in the history of the world to take care of the less fortunate. I don't feel its appropriate to say to someone having just won their battle with cancer (but lost their job and insurance in the process) fuck you you're on your own now, hope you have enough money to pay for future treatment if needed. I hope you never have to experience this for you or your family, but if you do, I hope there are more of "me" in this world than the "huckabee's" take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  3. http://mediamatters.org/video/2013/02/23/foxs-huckabee-compares-insurance-for-pre-existi/192784 Such a man of god, caring about his fellow human beings. And this is why republicans have had to resort to gerrymandering for any hope of winning future elections. Republicans are like a betamax, an eight track, low fidelity, old technology, and society has no use for them. Good day. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  4. I just wanted to be the first here to say it. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  5. That definately proves he wasnt a right wing nut-job... Whew, now that thats sorted out you SC right wingers can go back to feeling guilt-free about the good feeling you got about some horrible Liberals being taken out. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  6. Attention all insecure, inferiority complex having, douche bags who love to accesorize, we have a thread just for you... Its been a while since I laughed this hard at a thread. I'm taking bets on who else is going to join in on this one... take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  7. Love it or leave it!! I can gift you some freq flier miles if, due to the total failure of Bushes economic policies, you are a little tight on cash. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  8. Funny how in the last 40 years there have only been 2 Democratic Presidents, and during that time republicans have had control of congress for 10 of the last 12 years and 6 of those they have had control of the WH, Senate, and Congress. But still the democrats have turned this country into a socialist society?? Whenever I talk about the good things that happened during the Clinton years I hear "thats because of Newty and the Republicans writing the policy" But those same people claim that the deregulation that caused all of these problems was ALL Clintons fault, so which is it?? Wasnt it Phil Graham and Mccain writing that policy?? But I guess since it was signed by Clinton its totally his fault. Its patently adsurd. What I would like (for once) is for the Republicans to take some responsibility, OWN IT, this your mess!! Even if you didnt start some of the problems you were in total control of all three houses for 6 years, you managed to chip away at the constitution at will and manipulate the world makets as you saw fit to benefit your lobbiest buddies. But when it comes to averting any of disasters that we are in you just point fingers at a president that was in charge 10 years ago?? Oh and remember he had a repubilican House and Senate to contend with, and no they werent making it easy on him. What about the mountain of debt inherited by Clinton?? He turned it into a surplus. What about the Surplus inherited by Bush?? He turned it into a mountain of debt. What will you say when Obama turns the economy around again? Wait its another Tech boom right?? Excuses and rhetoric, its all you got but nobody is buying this time. Extremists, like you Mike, will always have these views and its cool you have the right, but when YOUR guys and YOUR policies get us into a financial and social mess dont get all bent out of shape when the middle 60% of the country backlashes because theyve had enough. Financially we have yet to hit bottom and a new direction is whats in order. We tried it your way, IT WAS A TOTAL FAILURE ON ALL LEVELS!!! You only have yourself to blame. Own it!! take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  9. And herin lies the problem, you do and have had advantages as an American with pale skin. The fact that you are totally unaware of the advantages is the issue that eclipses the overt Racism people experience (in my opinion). On a daily basis you have been given the advantage in a situation and just because you are oblivious to it doesnt mean it didnt happen. People with this pespective also develop an entitlement mentality, where these advantages are a baseline and are expected while still feeling like they are on a level playing field. Furthermore if they do not recieve them or they see someone else get a helping hand they feel like they have been slighted and things arent fair. Im sorry you are struggling, and of course not knowing you we could only guess what the cause of your struggling is. Ill say this if it is because you have been the victim of Racism imagine if this is the way your family had been treated for the last ~250 years, would make it kinda tough to keep up. Yes? Most people of color that are the recipient of this black/brown/other privilege im sure are struggling just as you are now, BUT so did their parents and grandparents and so on, you get my drift. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  10. I was going to say 200+ but I feared the debate of semantics that would rage here in SC. One CAN argue the date it all started so I just figured I would round down as to not lose my point. Few people with any understanding of our history would or could debate 150 years. However, your clarification helps make my point. The longer it existed the more white privilege whites experience and subsequently the more arbitrary steps that will need to be taken to level the playing field. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  11. Although I agree with you on most fronts... I would like to point out that yes it is racism on the most superficial sense. However when any race has had institutional and generational racism against it to the degree that has gone on in this country some steps must be taken to level the playing field. Maybe at some point when things are a little closer to being even we can re access the situation and form policy to make sure the balance doesnt go too far in any one direction. I just dont feel that making an effort to "bring some maligned races up to speed" is the same as the racism that has gone on in this country for the last 150 years. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  12. So Im talking to my dad back in Fl and he tells me after seeing Palin in interviews he has "no confidence in her whatsoever" and subsequently questions Mccains judgment. He says " I just dont understand what his (McCains) motivation was". Then my forever voting Republican, great depression living dad says he will be voting Democrat for the first time. We then go into a long discussion about some of Obamas policies and he is on-board. During the conversation he also mentions my brother, my 500K+ per year earning, bible beating brother feels the same way. That he and his wife are more worried what she could do to us in the world if she is in any position of power. So of course I then call my brother directly and he says "its not worth the risk", and he and his wife will not be voting for her. They liked McCain but she makes the ticket unacceptable. I personally couldnt see how they could approve of McCain but whatever, if Palins that much of an anchor that so be it. My mom isnt on board yet but what can we expect she still says that Saddam attacked us on 911 and thats why we are in Iraq. I may be getting back to FL for a visit soon!! It is a gold star day!!! take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  13. Maybe to someone who doesnt see the big picture of how hundreds of years of overt, institutional and generational racism could still have a negative effect on an individual this view would be seen as "odd". But as Ive stated in other posts your view is easy, its not difficult to be a republican you are in the "haves" of course you wouldnt want change so the playing field could be level. Historically in this country republicans have supported pro racist policies and fought to keep them on the books. If a baseball team is cheating until their team has a 20 game lead then right before league series they all the sudden declare "we wont cheat anymore" and "its a level playing field" that doesn't make it fair, the reality is their team has "the lead". Although this is quite simplified it is the basic framework for what has happened except on a much larger scale, and here in this world it has been generational. If you cant see the long term affects of this and why SOME policies are needed to re-level the playing field then, well that just proves my point of my previous post... Please dont get me wrong I dont support Jackson or Sharpton just like I dont support Bush and McCain (the four of them are quite the same to me) but im not afraid to understand that the playing field is NOT level and even though I may lose a little its ok, as a white male I am and have been more likely to get the job AND get paid more than my "equal" black/female counterpart. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  14. Educated people thinking that way??? Well by all means dont listen to them, listen to AM radio with all the other angry taxi drivers that still think Saddam masterminded 911, wait Palin's not a taxi driver. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  15. The problem is the GOP is a historically racist party and if any of today's republicans were to admit that it has been, and still is, an issue they will have to come to terms with the fact that even today the GOP is riddled with scumbag racist ideals. It would then become an ethical dilemma for SOME republican voters, this would effect the base that the GOP counts on to elect their guy. They wouldn't want that, they couldn't win an election on the issues. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  16. Hes making them again, right now! He said he would run a smear free campaign with no negative adds and that is the opposite of what he is doing. He sold out the mother of his kids when she was at her worst (I took that from the marriage vow "for better or worse") What do you think he would do to all of us when confronted with the ethical fork in the road as president? If he wasnt running for president, you didnt know if he was a R or a D, he were just some dude at the DZ and heard that story about him doing that to another person what would you think of him?? Would you even vote for him to run you club at the DZ? take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  17. I for one would like to hear your response to Quade The most damaging part of racism is not the overt racism but the total dismissal that it IS, will be, or has been even an issue. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  18. When Reagan took office in 1981, taxes were ~$517 billion and spending was $591 billion, for a deficit of $74 billion. When he left office in 1989, taxes were $999 billion and spending was $1.14 trillion. The national debt rose by almost 2/3's while he was in office. If you consider this a success than I can only imagine what your household budget looks like. Anyone can borrow and spend. You dont fix money problems by throwing more money at it, especially borrowed money. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  19. The Rep party feeds on all of your insecurities and fears. They make you feel like your fears are realistic and justified, and that feels good. We ALL like that feeling! The GOP has made being greedy not only acceptable but the right thing to do as an American. Its easy to be greedy. The GOP has made it socially acceptable to be a racist, just look at the rash of racially ugly posts recently. Its easy to be a racist, we are, as human beings, inherently ethnocentric. However, as upright walking, fore brain having, reasonable humans we have the ability to make the decision not to be but it takes effort, its NOT EASY. They have made being an dumb ass redneck bully socially acceptable. Even as a child when a bully is making fun of someone its easy to go along its hard to stand-up and do the right thing. Republicans dont take responsibility for anything. Anytime there is a failure, or a lie is revealed there is an excuse to follow as to how someone else caused it. Even after the total failure of this White House for the last ~8 years no one takes any responsibility. If anyone was to run even their household budget much less their business budget the way the republicans have run our country you would be in bankruptcy or jail or both. Even after the White House press sec comes out and tells the truth, do any republicans step up and say "we need to right those wrongs"? No they attack him for telling the truth. It is this solidarity to the ideal that if youre not with us your against us that helps win them elections. Its hard to do the right thing. Its hard to decide that even though you MAY lose a little that its ok, because its for the greater good of the nation and your fellow man. Its hard to make concessions in your lifestyle even though its in effort to help conserve this planet for our kids. Its hard to give up a little of your lifestyle in exchange for someone less fortunate maybe having an extra shot at success. These are things you have to make an extra effort to do. The Republican mantra is an easy one, "the world is your trash can, and if you do climb up over the wall pull the ladder up". Its easy to be a republican. I used to vote republican, as a child I was all about fiscal responsibility its what i was taught and how I was brought up. But that was then and that IS NOT the republican party of now. Fiscal responsibility or any responsibility for that matter is long gone from the GOP, that doesnt mean they wont win elections because they do and they will. Hell, when the bill of goods the GOP is selling is a warm squishy stamp of approval on your greedy, petulant child-like lives well thats an easy sell. Selling responsibility, now thats a tough sell... Its soo easy maybe Ill go back to voting republican the lack of responsibility back then was easy. But if I did that then i would end up in hell and I understand thats forever. And Ive grown accustom to taking responsibility for my life it would be weird to go back. The GOP is a machine and ANYONE who will step up and do what they say has the very real possibility of being elected even old washed-up McCain and his joke VP Palen. But it wont be on the issues it will be on smear and fear mongering, just like 2000 and 2004. And I guess thats ok... BTW, Im not afraid of whoever is elected, I own my house outright and have a substantial household income. But it is sad considering most of the people, even on this site, purporting the virtues of the Republican party are being negatively effected by these GOP policies all the while being manipulated by the GOP machine into working FOR the very institution that is negatively effecting there lives. March On Irrisponsapublicans!! take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  20. Well given the TOTAL absence of skillz in the WH for the last 8 it is a good place to start. The GOP and GWB have been a total disaster, I really dont understand how any reasonable person can act like more of the same is going to fix anything. You dont even have anyone to blame this disaster on, you have had a rubber stamp for the first six years. Its time you guys take responsibility for you failure. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
  21. Its not so far fetched, heck the GOP has convinced you ditto heads of much more outlandish things, and The Onion puts on a show that is FAR more plausible than what the RepublaFoxnewsicans put on the air. take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...

  23. In light of some recent posts by certain individuals who have no business throwing stones, I decide to ask the question. So here are your hints, in no particular order. Banned from Skydive Tallahassee, Banned The Farm Asked to leave an unnamed DZ in North Fl for sexually harassing females that were there for tandems. Got kicked out of the Tandem concession at Rantoul. Defrauded a shipping company out of a Cypres2 and then sold it to someone on the side. Defrauded another skydiver when he took their money ($1000) with the promise of selling them drugs only to take their cash and walk. And then when questioned about it he lied and said he was arrested and he would turn them in if they asked about it again. At a Halloween boogie at Skydive Tallahassee he trashed someones golf cart on the runway and as usual just walked away. The worst part is this isnt even a complete list, but some of the offenses have defined him as a person and it would be too obvious as to who the honorable individual was if we listed them all. He has been given so many chances by so many people. The worst part is that he acts like that is all water under the bridge and takes no responsibility for any of it, and then logs on and bad mouths people as if they did him wrong. Its offensive!! Most everyone knows the truth about him, its not a secret, and if there is someone out there who thinks he is a cool guy, just misunderstood, they just haven't been fucked over by him YET!! take a deep breath, relax and don't clinch your teeth together, it will all be over in a couple of minutes...
