  1. Are you thiniking about swooping though? If not the downsize might be fine. If you're swooping maybe you should just go up to a higher performance canopy but keep the same wingloading. I jumped a sabre2 170 until i was doing 180's, now i'm demoing a crossfire 2 169. A very different canopy, but definitly, imo, swoops better.
  2. I was planning on jumping at delmarva this weekend but it was closed so i went up to chambersburg. As long as they are actually flying i'll be out there this weekend for sure.
  3. I just moved up to annapolis, MD for the summer from texas and pretty much know nill people out here. I need some skydivers to hang out w/. Somebody hit me up.
  4. sounds like there was a corruption on the hard drive. One of your restore points might still be intact but maybe not. You'd have to go back and check them all manually. If they are gone just set new restore points and hope they work later =D The dvd issue should be able to be solved with just downloading the latist driver from the manufacturer's website. Other than that, what Dave said. Good luck
  5. ya, if the slider isnt behind your head it is probably putting tension on your canopy and not letting the canopy flatten out as wide as it could be.
  6. ya, i'm pretty new to the sport. My room mates now never see me on any weekend where there is a blue sky. I skip meals cause i see them as jump ticket money being "wasted" on food. Any day the dropzone is open even if i cant jump i'm waiting around to learn more. And i'll reiterate, say goodbye to everything you did before. But trust me, it's worth it
  7. sorry Dave, i just feel bad asking to get in on stuff when i know you guys are training for comps and since I'm one of very few students that comes out I try to stay out of the way a bit. I suppose i should be less timid. but hey, at least i've started paying up on beer. That make up for anything? :P
  8. So i'm just about to get my A license. I've been informed that it would be in my best interest to get about 100 jumps on my belly before i start trying any freeflying. Just so I can fly better in general. I have no problem with this. I might try some sitflys here and there but I believe in my instructors when they say that's what's best for me. My only question is, what do I do on those jumps. I'm one of very few beggining jumpers at my dz and planes really just go up when there are tandems. I know that less than 100 jumps usually rules me out of 4-ways, i know this, i'm fine with it. But I can't just do 75 tracking dives... Anybody have any suggestions on what i should practice in the air?
