  1. @BrianLion, main canopy weight is indeed included for wingloading, is it not? An aircraft's wings and structural support make up part of its weight too.
  2. Where are you guys and where do you jump? Currently in Vrsar, have a rental car for a month, and really want some people to play with. :) Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
  3. Thanks for the PM! I'll definitely be in touch. :) Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
  4. Hi there, Thanks for responding! I've seen that there are a bunch of DZ's listed around BA in the dropzone database. However, I've seen places listed before, then hauled my gear several thousand miles only to realize that every DZ is either a tandem factory, doesn't return phone calls or emails, or is just closed to begin with. Even if they checked the boxes for "free camping", "load organizing", "fun jumper friendly", "weekly 300-ways", "skyvan every day" etc. My post is intended to get some first-hand info from actual jumpers. Have you been to the one that you linked to, and are recommending it? Thanks, Brett Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
  5. Hey all, My girlfriend and I are thinking of spending a few months in Buenos Aires (between February and June). Anyone have any thoughts on the following? -What's the optimum jump season? -Are there lots of fun jumpers, or is it a tandem-factoryland? -AAD's required? -What's the favorite DZ near Buenos Aires? Thanks! Brett Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
  6. Damn, so sorry to hear this! Chris took me out for my first wingsuit flight at the WFFC in '05 when the Birdman school turned me away because I was just a few jumps shy of 200. He loaned me a Prodigy and took me up for one last jump before I went back home, not even letting me pay for his jump ticket. I only knew him for a few short hours, but he completely made my year. He will be missed and remembered. Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
  7. Parkman never could be the same without the familiar hiss of your canopy and the flurry of leaves that you'd kick from the trees on approach every day. Fly free, bro. Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
  8. I'm sitting here watching the BBC, and they just did a little diddy on a 97-year-old who just became the oldest guy to skydive in Britain. They showed the video, and I just glanced up in time to see the TM reach for the ripcord, pull, and the two practically did a half barrelroll until linestretch. Anybody else see that? Funny stuff Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."

  12. Hey everybody, my good friend and fellow skydiver Sarah Child is one of 3 finalists for the Sierra Designs Gearologist contest! The lead has been changing frequently between her and one other contestant, and there's only one day left to vote. If she wins she'll get a bunch of free stuff from Sierra Designs to test out! You can vote for her here: http://gear-ologist.blogspot.com Go to the top right of the page and vote for Sarah Child. Thanks for all your support, we really appreciate it!

  14. be careful with that, if you've already registered once from your ip they might think your creating a second account (which could get you banned, if they catch it) go post them in other forums you frequent and you'll have a fresh audience to feed on Web Design Cleveland Skydiving "Hey, these cookies don't taste anything like girl scouts..."
