only I wasn't expecting any severance pay, I was a TA for ASU....

So I noticed a rather large paycheck deposited in my bank (about $6,000 for 2 weeks worth of work). I noticed that after further investigation that my bimonthly paycheck before taxes was $885.10 and that this new paycheck before taxes was $8,851.00.... oops... someone missed a decimal point.... so anyways I have been told that at anytime my employer can ask for that money back and I have to pay it back. Is there any legal time lines to this? Like if they don't notice the mistake in 3 months its mine? What should I do? I could really use the money... this was my last paycheck and I am currently unemployed living off of a friend... which I hate mooching.

Okay I am sorry but I need to rant...! Why am I not surprised that these two tickets come from those states... I personally avoid Texas at all costs. I have been there about 4 times in my life... first time I was 2 yrs old... I got the chicken pox and my brother almost died from them... second time I almost got run over by a cop bc I was "speeding" and since he drove over the intersection right at me at dusk I didn't signal to switch lanes... I had been driving 20 hrs straight when he pulled me over. Anyways 3rd time I flew through Texas and had a 3.5 hr delay due to a broken plane... 4th and final time there was freezing rain and for some reason Texas must not believe in salting the roads... it took me 1.5 hrs to drive 6 miles... As soon as I made it in Oklahoma it was smooth driving... I mean it... once you cross the border there was salt on the road! Virginia is always lined with cops... I did a lot of driving the past 3 weeks but the only states I actually drive the speed limit is Texas and Virginia... and alas I didn't get any tickets.. I did get a close call in Virginia (the cop got the person behind me) in Virginia... lucky me bc I was going 20 over... Okay I am done with my rant... I hate Texas and Texas hates me... I'm okay with that.

You know some people actually do work at their job instead of staring at the binding of their parachutist all day. ....sheesh government workers...

I'm going to be studying... ALL WEEKEND LONG! I got 2 presentations, a term paper and a midterm all due by 8am on Wednesday. I QUIT school! I have no money to jump, or to drive my car. I'm stuck at home...

I am a chemist and although I'm only a grad student it seems at this school there are perhaps 60% guys and 40% girls. In my undergrad there seemed to be more guys than that. Chemistry professors seem to be dominated by men as well. When you go to engineering it is almost all men. I seem to gravitate to activities surrounded by men... skydiving and science seemed to be dominated by men. I have to show up and show them that women rock!

Scott yours are stinky too! I'm never letting you in that plane in Eloy again! You would think that you were sitting next to me... but you weren't you were about 4 ppl away and next to the freggin door!

But then you have the whole health insurance issue... I know there were posts in Bonfire before, but what is your luck and being a skydiver and getting health insurance?

Hey, I am finding myself creating a resume for a chemistry research position. I was wondering what you all thought of putting my coaching experience for nonskydiving related work. Coaching shows that I am a leader and can think coolly in stressful situations. At the same time skydiving receives such bad responses. People might think that I am a risk taker (in a bad way), and that I am a pot smoking adrenaline junky who would leave work just because the sky is blue. Now I don't believe in these stereotypes because I know better but what about my employer? What do you guys think?

I tried to use that on my mom. My mom is totally against me skydiving. I tell her is not only fun its therapeudic. It's tough to work from 6am-11pm nonstop and then get one single Saturday off... what do you do? Parents want to control their kids... as mine did. I no longer talk to my mom because of skydiving related issues. I'm 21 and I left home at age 17 but she still wants to control me and thinks that skydiving is the devil or something... I honestly don't know what is wrong with this world and with their logic... I could be spending more money on drugs and functioning just fine...

So my first electric bill living in Arizona was $70.... not bad right?... well that was only for 15 days and that was keeping my apartment at 86 F during the days and 82 F at night. So I budgeted for a bill of about $140 for the next month. I cut back on my air conditioning (90 F during the day and 86 F at night)... So... my electric bill for this month (29 days) was... $56! Wooohooo. That means I can actually fill up my car with gas so I can drive down to the dz
