I'll give it a shot when I'm there. Also, it's my wedding that weekend which is why I was looking to get someone underground for possibly a jump onto the beach over the resort we are at the day before. Who knows maybe the DZ will do it for a price. It's an easy landing, but don't know if Mexican authorities care about something like that or not considering it's not too far from their international airport. I know here we just file at the airport when we do local jumps with friends planes, but I'm sure it's quite different in Mexico. I guess I'll call the DZ ahead and see if they ever do anything special like that. Thanks for the reply. Have fun!

Curious if anyone knows of a pilot with a cessna or any jumpable aircraft in that are that might want to be hired for a day around June 8th -10th for a couple jumps? I know the DZ there requires a D license. Figured it couldn't hurt to check here for someone. Thanks!

A message from the founder of APOOPA: We have absolutely no interest in organizing another APOOPA event. I only did that because at the time last year I had a dislocated hip and needed an amusing project. It turned out to be beyond amusing. There were way too many people there who had no business attempting to combine parachutes with snow sliding devices. It was truly amazing that we didn't have any D-s or any Fs that day. D+s always make for tremendously funny video footage especially when almost half the jumps got that grade. But D+s are a sliver away from an F and I don't want one of those on my hands. Anyone is welcome to come on out here on their own time and have a go at it but we strongly urge everyone to have this under their belt first: Experienced base jumper Expert skier or snowboarder Able to consistently hit the biggest jump in the terrain park. Must be able to land smoothly every time on the tranny. Must be able to maintain a stable skier or snowboarder position in the air off the biggest terrain park jumps. Have fun!

It's just that time of the year again, there is snow in the Sierra and people are ready for some silly ski/snowboard/sled hucking. I'm sure the APOOPA founders will make an announcement when it is confirmed the conditions are good to go, unless they have been banned from here, which is a good possibility. Have fun!

Once set off all the alarms for chemicals that can be used for making bombs after landing in a cow field then carrying on my rig. Apparenty the cow poo can be used for bombs. The secuity guy thought it was funny when I explained the situation and didn't harrass me for too long. Have fun!
