  8. If you're doing a solo jump or a hop n' pop then you may be able to get away with it. The things to consider are the shirt getting loose and interfering with your handles on deployment and in an emergency. The other issue is if you're jumping with others, your movement will be completely different than while wearing a jumpsuit. I've found it harder to maneuver and get stable initially. I'm sure with practice you could do it but the first few times it will be pretty ungraceful and potentially dangerous for the other jumpers. Plus your tracks will suck on breakoff. All that fabric in your jumpsuit that makes you hot also catches air and allows for better control. Also, unless you're 100% confident in your landing skills, you could end up like myself and take some skin off you knees/legs/arms with a botched landing. Some things to consider. I'd say if you insist on jumping in shorts & a tshirt, start with hop n' pops and then do solos. For the record, I have an all black jumpsuit and even during 100+ degree weather I suck it up and wear the damm thing. Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793
  9. Unless you're cropping in or enlarging for a billboard, in practice 300 dpi is the highest resolution you need. Anything higher you're just wasting space on your hard drive. The print shop will probably be printing around 225dpi. You're correct. I got the numbers all kind of screwed up in my head and was thinking gravure. My bad. Typical lpi for offset printing is 133 lpi so minimum scan resolution should be 266 dpi. Scan at 300 dpi and you should be fine. Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793

  11. Ok, a few questions. Are you scanning individual tickets and then assembling them into a larger image or is the print shop doing it? Do you know how the print shop is producting the final design? Is it a single print or multiple prints? I'm guessing the replica SuperBowl tickets are printed already. Correct? One thing to consider is that when you scan an already printed image you should use the descreen filter if available. This will help to take out the screen pattern that is done with offset printed images. Eg: magazines. If the print shop is producing the image via offset printing then you will need to scan at a resolution 2x the lpi they print at which is typically 133lpi. Therefore 266 dpi is ideal. However if you are wanting the tickets to be printed at a larger size than they originally are, you will need to make sure you scan at the appropriate magnification. Don't scan and then enlarge the image afterwards. Do it while scanning. Find out what file formats the print shop accepts. An uncompressed TIFF file is best for most print shops unless they specify otherwards. Hope this helps. Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793
  12. When you say reprinting I'm guessing your mean either from a destkop inkjet printer or reprinting in a magazine. For either one a jpeg scanned at 600 dpi will yield good results. Don't apply any compression to the jpeg. Edit: Was thinking of another print method. 300 dpi is fine. Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793

  14. yeah, more which one is better than which? Apparently they are all somewhat close enough it doesn't really matter, brand wise. Is SDHC faster? Ok, first verify that your camera can support SDHC. If if can that that's the standard to use for 1+ GB flash cards. Next look at the class rating of the card. Class 6 is the fastest. The class rating defines the minimum write speed. Next look at the speed rating. This defines the maximum write speed. The higher the number eg 150x the better. 16. For the most part this is true. The only reason to really pay a premium for flash memory is the cards that can write at faster speeds. The faster the write speed, the faster the camera can take another picture. So if you've got a camera capable of very fast burst mode writing, you'll want a fast flash card. 17. Ok basically the Panasonic cameras use SD or SDHC memory cards which is a specific form factor for flash memory. The SDHC is a high capacity version of the original SD format. MiniSD is essentially using the SD flash memory technology but in a smaller size. Typically for cellphones as you mentioned. Some of the MiniSD cards will come with an adapter allowing them to be used in regular SD sized slots such as your digital camera, but more typically for use in cardreaders for your computer. USB SD cards are basically a SD flash memory card that can be folded and then inserted into a USB slot on your computer. The computer can then read the card directly without the use of a separate memory card reader. Need anything else? Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793

  20. Your camera probably only supports one flash memory format. Stick with whatever it supports. As far as brands go, SanDisk is good. If you find something cheaper you can use that too. What kind of memory does your camera support? Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793

  23. I'm gonna disagree with that. In Plain Sight just doesn't have the slickness or fun factor that Burn Notice does. Plus the stories just seem uninspired to me. I'd be surprised if the show makes it to a second season. Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793
