can u "flare" from under 30 mph and fly down to low 20s? The only reason I did not hold it for the entire dive was simply that I am not that good I kept changing body positions slighly just to see what was working and what did not. So on this jump my altitrack (which so far has been the most trouble free data collector i have used) spends alot of time at 22, 23, 24, 25mph and ultimatly got down to 21mph. I dont spend alot of time maxing out my suit but rather fly relative to other flyers so i need to improve my max flight skills quite a bit. this week we will explore this further I will get "data evidence" and post it. At the Z-Flock wingsuit school in sunny Zephyrhills we just received a few new S-Fly suits, expert and pro fly. Chuck and I did a two way (him in a profly and me in a SM1) and we both noticed some leg "flappage" on his suit, our conclusion was the suit is slightly to tall for him. At Flock n Dock when the soul fliers were here I did not notice any flapping on there leg wings at all, so make sure your suit fits right. On some of our suits especially the 1st series Mach1 if the suit was to tall the leg wing flapped. This does not happen on our 2nd series suits if it is to tall. My laser beam came in a can, pretty cheap too and my camera was the perfect bait to distract purple away from the hand held laser. it gets a little fragmented at 10 feet so it looks more like flac it took two jumps to hit the purple target. So what's the point of a "lady flier?" The point is the "fit in the body" of the suit on the lady flier, there are extra panels in the chest of the suit to conform to a womens body better. the patterns from the male body do not fit most women as well, no matter how accurate you measure. much like in tracking a persons height will determine how fast horizontally they can ultimately travel. You did not post your weight so it is hard to determine just where you fall in place with other jumpers, build wise. If you are height/weight proportionat, 5'2"- 95lbs to 110lbs you should easily be able to keep up with most flocking dives. In fact you will find your self a bit "floaty" on most dives. This is an advantage, because you can translate altitude into forward speed, not to say you will be able to "out fly" most taller people when it comes to horizontal speed, but vertically most people wont be able to keep up with you. As far as arm loading goes, it is far easier than most people think to fly a wingsuit, there is roughly 5 to 10 pounds of force on you arms depending on what flight mode you are in (coming out of a steep dive you will feel the most arm wing loading, average flocks will be almost effortless on arms) If you are getting tired after 1 or 2 flights you are over flying the suit, it took me hundreds of jumps to figure out how much is to much, strength wise. If you think you have weaker than average muscle strength try doing push ups. The only stupid question is the one not asked for fear of sounding stupid.
