    Seriously though, that has alot to do with the fact that one of their many job descriptions, is Preventing drugs & other illegals from entering the country! In Coast guard Criminal Background = far more likely to turn head the other way for $$$ &/or engage in those sort of activities directly, as you'd know where the "Check Points" & schedules would be on a regular basis!;)
