  1. Quick question... The only hulahoop dives I've ever done I was invited to come along, so I've never actually had to bring the hulahoop. I want to do another hoop dive - but if memory serves me the first couple I did we weighted down a bit before hand to make it a little easier to keep a hold of. Can anyone tell me if this is something I need to do - or can I just pick up an everyday hulahoop and bring it to the DZ and get the same results? Thanks :)
  2. I only have a couple on my computer here at work... BUT... I want this thread to keep going because I love seeing everyone elses pictures! So here is what I've got with me :)
  3. Fly Free Skydiving is a state of the art skydiving facility conveniently located in Festus, Missouri. Founded by Mark Cook, Fly Free Skydiving is a proud member of the United States Parachute Association. Open Saturday and Sunday and most holidays from 8am until sunset.
  4. Jose was someone who could just make you smile. Wheter he was doing something goofy (like buying a rooster as a DZ mascot) or just being his normal, laid back self, it was always a pleasure to have Jose around the DZ. Just a couple weeks ago Jose chased down my main and freebag for me - we had plans to go out for the monster margarita I owe him Saturday night. I miss ya Jose, I'm glad I got to know you and jump with you, and I'll never forget you.
  5. Attached is a picture from the girls record jump I made with Marnie just a few weeks ago, she is in the green jumpsuit. I've also attached a close up for those trying to put a face with the name... Man. I'm without words.
  6. When I first started jumping at FFE Marnie (along with Tera & Emilee) welcomed me with open arms. Marnie always had a smile on her face, and had determination that was unwavering. Just a few short weeks ago I was lucky enough to be a part of the first MO women's state record - a 6 way all girl formation - which Marnie organized. I will never forget what a wonderful person she was, and an excellent skydiver, the girl always flew her slot! I miss you girl. My heart goes out to all the friends and family, especially Flecth and all my other family at FFE. God speed.
  7. A truly deserved honor... what an amazing example of the ultimate sacrifice. You are so rightfully proud Mark - congrats again on such a wonderful tribute to Robert's life.
  8. Just wanted to post up a quick hello. Did my first jump on 7/17 at Quanum Leap in Sullivan, MO. Was the greatest experiance of my entire life, as most of you can imagine I'm sure. Sadly, 12 days later was the tragic crash which took the lives of my instructor, Robert Cook, the worlds best video jumper Rob Walsh, and my Dad's instructor Scott Cowan. Robert and I were the same age, 2 days apart, and his love for the sport has inspired me to keep jumping and hopefully one day get my license and maybe even become an instructor myself. Any who, looking forward to becoming part of the skydiving family, blue skies :)
