  1. No shit, about asking my rigger. Thought others might have interesting thoughts as well... Grommet to grommet doesn't work for my setup. Doesn't fit right. Will probably visit again in 2013. Thanks! E
  2. Howdy, I just installed a lazy bag, and will begin jumping it when my DZ opens next weekend. I will be almost exclusively wingsuiting this season. If some of you experienced guys have a minute, watch my short video/question about the orientation of my lazy bag, and please share your thoughts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9Z5ioUiw8U&feature=email Thanks! E
  3. 20 million dollars - that doesn't include all the beer he's going to owe us, does it?
  4. Thanks a lot for the feedback. I'll try contacting Mirage.
  5. Hi all, My riser covers have been opening sometimes during higher speed sit flys, and most times I attempt (short lived) headdown. The other day, my bright yellow steering toggle caught my attention during a sit, as it waved around over my head... Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks! Eric
  6. Hi all, I'm wondering if there's a DZ near tampa that has a turbine airplane? Skydive Tampa Inc only has a C182 right now. I'm trying to find a good place for a buddy and his girlfriend to take their first jumps and want them to have a great first impression of the sport. Thanks! Eric
  7. Hello! I'm in the Detroit area, and skydive in Tecumseh. I'm looking for a rigger for an inspection and repack. I've tried calling my old Ohio rigger as well as speaking with my new DZ - to no avail... Thanks!
  8. reply]It seems people rush these days to the forums to complain about something that can be so easily sorted out as demonstrated by Karl in responding to this thread. Since Aerodyne turned out to be kind and helpful, now this thread serves only to advertise to people that Aerodyne fixes it's mistakes. What's wrong with that? Go Aerodyne!
  9. The people at Aerodyne turned out to be much more concerned and gracious than it originally appeared to me yesterday. I can now agree with all of you who've said they're a great company to deal with. Thanks guys.
  10. Thanks for the response. That's an interesting point you make about the value of the hybrid set. I actually wanted the RW set so that all of my lines were the same material, and thus would stretch similarly over time. No big rush really, but last year I started jumping in March, and I intended to do the same this year. To the others who said "be nice" "let it slide", etc., I should point out that I was very friendly and polite to the person on the phone. I didn't complain at all. Hence the vent here.
  11. I'd like to retract my complaint - as the situation was graciously remedied.
  12. I thought that might be you. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Thanks again for the fair price!
  13. Hehe! I agree the bathroom is better than the library for concentration. When people talk about packing under a rigger's supervision, do these "practice" pack jobs all count toward the requirement of 20 reserve packs (assuming the job was satisfactory to the rigger)? It's great! It opens nice and slow, and flies great. I'm sending it out for a reline today, actually. It's ugly as hell (purple/orange) - which is nice because nobody wants to steal it! Thanks for the help!
  14. Did I mention that I'm an aerospace engineer, a pilot and a skydiver? My interest in the technical aspect of the gear goes without saying.. I agree, though I don't think money has been mentioned anywhere here.
