  1. Well i ordered my Tonfly a few weeks ago and they said its not going to get here until the end of february....sucks...im going to perris for the week of february 12th-17th.....so i just bought an FF2 from my buddy so i can fly my damn camera for the cali trip! I notived that when i put the helmet on my head the chin strap is not centered at all when its tightened all the way down...i took the strap off and made a new hole about 1/4 inch down more so that when the chin strap is tightened down enough it is centered...which gives a more comfortable and normal looking fit! This little thing i did made me much happier with the helmet

Just throwing this out there if anyone else was getting annoyed with the way the chin strap looked and felt when you tightened it all the way down!

I have an older TRV-11 that I know used to work with a laptop I had that was running XP Pro.

I just tried the PC350 connected to the laptop - same thing. Nothing happening.

I just have to dig up the battery for the TRV-11 to see if I can firewire to the Vista. If I can, it must be the cradle...

I had this same exact problem with my Hc-40...it did not work on my laptop for anything...but it worked on my friends laptop....i sold it and got a sony pc-1000 and it works fine on my laptop...i dont know what the problem was but it works now! and im using the same firewire cable

  3. i have a log book and i was just joking aorund guys...cmon take a joke lol...im at 181 right now...only have 6 video jumps under my belt..all went smooth..audible is in the helmet and everything.....im just trying to get all my camera equipment in my hands now before i start the police academy in 3 weeks and i wont have the funds to be even close to buying this stuff that im getting right now!

  4. OK so heres the deal! I originally had a HC-40 for a few weeks with a liquid sky .45mm wideangle lens...25mm thread! I got bored of the set-up and found a clean barely used pc-1000 for a sick price! Well i bought it and im left over with the liquid sky lens.. Now i went to the camera shop nearby and they told me that no one makes a step down adaptor from 30mm-25mm...so he talked me into getting a lens from him..he gave me 100$ for my liquid sky lens and i gave hi another 100$ and he hooked me up with this .42 lens set-up..Now the deal is theres no name on it..but it seems to work well, Its also a macro so i can zoom in as far as i want and it wont get blury..i really get lost at this point so im asking you guys if i got ripped or not!! here are some pictures of the lens..and then some pics i took with my pc-1000 with the lens on it.

BTW dont mind the vignetting..it was caused from a ugly huge filter at the end of it!!...its not there anymore

Pictures 2,3 and 5 were taken with the lens on the pc-1000...the rest with my pc1000 without the lens on obviously!

Oh and the price for the lens he sold me was originally 300$...he gave it to me for 200$..100$ of it was trade in! so i only took 100 out of my pocket~

  5. I already searched and found some answers for other types of camcorders...but not the hc-40..

I was jumping my HC-40 last week for the first time and for some reason my camera focused in on the dust particles on the inside of my wide angle lens...and everything else was blurry..first i clean the lens all the time i dont understand how it gets so dirty so quick!

And second should i keep the focus off of autofocus and keep it on infinity?

When the camera focused on the dirt particles it was on autofocus....what do you guys reccommend?

BTW i have a .45 liquid sky lens with a filter!

Looks nice. Too bad your plug couldn't be contained inside the box though...

what do you mean it couldnt be contained inside the box? i could have drilled a hole in the helmet so it wouldnt run around the helmet but i figured whats the point since the plug is right near the front of the helmet! I think it lookws neat the way its set up...im planning on drilling a hole in the helmet for the cameye in the future when i get a better camera!
