so what your saying is that if im coming if for a straight landing not trying anything but just going for a normal landing.....and a jumper with 300 jumps tries to swoop for the first few times with a smaller canopy then the one i have....that we both have the same chance to get hurt...how the hell can i hurt myself as bad as he does if i am doing a much much safer basic landing technique>? thats just insane what you are stating

Well I have heard of sicker shit. However, before I place my bet I was hoping you could give me some more information. Since you are jumping in North Dakota, could you let me know how long the season runs. Also how many months have you not jumped now regarding currency on your 1.5 wingloading canopy. I know your skills are high but just how high are they. On a scale of 1 - 10 with 1 being a world class canopy pilot and 10 being a swooper with little or no experience where would you place yourself on this spectrum. TIA for your answers. havent you read the rules...fill out you profile so we know how many jumps you have ;) joking

Well if you read the post...he was taking a SWOOPING class.he started a 90 degree front riser turn way too low...And he broke himself while swooping..i wont be doing anything of that sort for a long long long time...swoooping and coming in for a straight landing nice and slow are 2 different things...thanks

not planning on doing any sort of tandem photos till the end of the summer or when my jump numbers get up there...i just want to get the camera now..learn the settings and know what i am doing with it so when the time comes to use it to make money and get good shots i know what im doing!

Hell, some high performance pilots START their turns to final at 500 feet. Im doing 90 DEGREE Front riser turn at 500 feet...im not doin a 540 front riser turn at that height...jesus....90 degrees ok my post numbers are almost higher then my jump numbers....so im gona stop posting till i get back from perris...;)

that actually came out the wrong way....i said it the wrong way...i was doing some very small 90 degree front riser turns but they were pretty high up, sorry for the way i wrote it, and im actually not planning on swooping for a long time since i like my legs, thats the one thing that scares me with this sport!

i combined 40 camera jumps with sitflying lol...i just threw those numbers in there...i mena can you call 40 jumps freeflying and camera if your sitflying while flying a camera?

ouch i got reamed on this post! Umm its a sabre 2 150, my rigger says he thinks its fine for me to be doing it. My wingloading when i had my sabre 2 170 was 1.2. And i had a good 60 stand up landings,...ive had my share of practice with it. I did 2 jumps with it last week and i landed them both on my feet, not much wind at all. It honestly did not seem faster then my 170 at all, which sounds wierd! But im definetly sticking with this canopy until i have around 5-600 jumps...im planning on losing about 15-20 pounds of weight as my gym plans have changed! Just seeing what other people think about it thats all

nice write up...im gona shoot down to best buy and play with the xti and 40d....the 40d doesnt seem like it has many more advantages over the xti when they are compared!

What do you guys think about that?

i can afford both....what about the canon 30d and 40d...too heavy you think?
