  1. The reference of newbie just means (to me) that I can be taught something. I kind of like it. I am truely a newbie and probrably will be for the rest of my skydiving days and that is OK with me. Even the guys and girls up at West Point (I have only done one jump there) made me feel welcome!
  2. Don't ever put the word first in a sentence at the DZ! You will surely owe for something!
  3. I agree with Peej. I just received my "A" this past weekend. But I would have to say there is no rush to go by yourself. I did six tandems and 30 minutes worth of tunnel time before I felt comfortable enough to go on my own. And I did not do a progression course. I met alot of people and listened to alot of stories. Do another tandem and see if you like it as much as your first. If it leaves you wanting to do another one then go for it. Have fun and stay safe.
  4. I have plans on going there for the Halloween Boogie. I was there for the Memorial Day boogie and had a good time. See you all soon!
  5. Got my "A" today! But what was more exciting was that my 14 year old learned how to pack and got in a few paid pack jobs today! I am so proud of her! A special thanks goes out to Suffolk and West Point! Sorry, I don't knowhow to make a clicky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgA0lCndjNQ
  6. I can't believe you guys have to shout something when you finally get it in!

    Ever....

I almost peed my pants reading this..........but I am not in public!
  8. Everytime we get off the phone, someone leaves the house, or goes to bed. We tell each other all the time. You never know what will happen when that person walks out the door. If it is the last thing I tell my kids or my husband then I did my job!
  9. And you know what they say about rumors.........they usually start with the people spreading them so fess up!
  10. He actually looks as if he is showing them off! Poor boy, glad he didn't hit his eye.
  11. I don't really suggest you do it either. You would regret it. Don't get rid of any of them. Save them all!
  12. If you sell them all then you would almost have your whole AFF course paid for but would have some pissed off relatives!
  13. No, this is not the case for everyone. I have been married for 14 years and been jumping for a year. I should get my A next weekend. My husband doesn't want me to go out there today because he can't be there. He and I both want him there when I get my A. He has not jumped yet but has talked about it. But for years he has had his hunting and fishing. He has no problem watching countless videos and listening to stories about anything skydiving.
  14. I think I have said this before............I should NEVER open attachments that I do not know what they are! That guy was nasty but I guess he only had to pay for the stitches not the surgery!

    Scary!

OK, after some research I actually think they are the Cicada Killer Bee. They are much bigger then a yellow jacket! they are scary looking. They are about 3 inches long, some more!

    Scary!

    Anyone have these?
  17. For a second I looked at the title of this thread and thought it said Rubber Band and Balls!
  18. It does look fun! Does it have a cutaway system and can you wear your rig on it!? Can you imagine the look on everyone's face when you left the harness!
  19. So I'm driving with a friend of mine and she has gotten her test results back about having fibroids on her uterus. (know this has nothing to do with this topic) She calls her sister and her sister says (in a serious voice). "I would give mine if you need them." Friend says, "No thanks, these are actually something you don't want!" But to answer your question, my immediate family, yes!

    Like puzzles?

Does that mean I have to get rid of my 360, because I am really attatched to it! Off to try to do this game, AGAIN!

    Like puzzles?

Yeah, these games suck. My daughter just showed me up!
  22. Just want to say congrats on your 13th. It happens to be my 14th Anniversary today also. We, however, were able to get a sitter and enjoyed an evening together.
