If you are jumping this weekend Sunday seems like the better day. Go to West Point, they are having their Halloween Boogie this weekend. I would suggest Suffolk but it is a bit of a drive from Northern VA. Have fun and stay warm. So they say.........Sunday is calling for 68, sunny, and 10 mph winds

You heard idiot and assumed it was a guy. That's OK, Billy! But on a serious note, I know someone who did the same thing about a year ago and their relationship seems to be working out just fine. I wouldn't do it but it has been known to work.

Congrats on finding the wonderful sport! Good luck on your "A". Stay safe!

You're a brave one! I have 104 jumps and still have not done a solo! I'm just chicken I guess! Keep up the good work and stay safe! -
Nice bike!!! Now it will be cheaper for you to make a trip to Suffolk to do a few jumps with some old friends!!! And clean up that garage!

Pitching skydiving/wingsuiting to worried parents?
cjsgrlsx3 replied to Zirngibism's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I completely agree with justintime1983. I did 6 tandems before I started AFF. I do not regret any of them. There's a lot to learn. But on to your actual question.............just tell them, maybe they will be more open to it then you think. -
Welcome! Suffolk is a great place to jump. Maybe I will see you around.

what's the deal with packers in the US!?
cjsgrlsx3 replied to virgin-burner's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I do know how to pack for myself but my daughter packs also. She really enjoys the work. Sometimes she will even come home and tell me something new she learned from packing someone else's rig. Packers are hard workers. -
Fellow AFF people...share your experiences.
cjsgrlsx3 replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ok, the hardest thing I have had to learn is do not reach for the ground. I have a tendency to bend my knees on landings now. My landings aren't too bad anymore! -
Your Own Spectators = Distraction?
cjsgrlsx3 replied to LuckyMcSwervy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am still not comfortable with anyone coming out to see me jump that does not jump themselves. They ask alot of questions and distract me. I have one friend that comes but she has been there the whole time. She has done one tandem and knows alot about packing and all. We don't really talk while I am jumping. I had a few friends come out on my 100th jump and it made me very nervous! But the jump and landing went well. So, to answer the question.........it may always distract you and they may want to stay home. -
Learn everything there is to learn about packing and get a job at the DZ! Earn money while you hang out with all the cool people!!!

So I just did my 100th!!!
cjsgrlsx3 replied to millertime24's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Congrats on your 100th. I too did my 100th on Sunday. My daughter enjoyed throwing lots of pie my way! So I made sure to give her a huge hug! I was going to upload some pictures but they are too big! -
Tandem harnesses hurt. I did 6 of them and all of them were uncomfortable. I did not experience any pain in the student rig I used while going through AFF!

Atlanta Skydiving Center - any good?
cjsgrlsx3 replied to B1029384756's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I made a trip to GA last month and went to The Farm! They are great and I went to Skydive Atlanta. I did not make a jump at ASC because, you know, you just get that "feeling". Go to The Farm and have fun. There is a reason they charge less. Money isn't everything. -
Attention parents: Birthday gift for two year old boy??
cjsgrlsx3 replied to Nightingale's topic in The Bonfire
You can buy a pack of nerf style soccer, baseball, basketball, and golf sets. kids really love outdoor toys! -
I have Crash stitched on mt rig. My landings suck!
-
Communication, communication, communication! And alot of respect!
-
Is that actually a side effect or do you have something else?
-
Wear one. It saved my butt at Skydive Atlanta a few weeks ago. I slid in on the runway and tore my suit up but not a scratch on me. Those of you that want to say I shouldn't be on the runway......you're right but just proves you should wear a jumpsuit. Anything that will protect the skin. You never know what the next landing may bring.
