  1. Can you post a pic of a handcam setup. Do you use it with or without box? Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  2. Ugh, had a tandempassenger today who's hubby demanded reimbursement for me not having filmed/photographed the tandem landing, this was due to me having a half inflated Vengeance with a few line-overs and subsequent reserve ride and way way way out landing. and there were no other vidiot in that load to film the landing?, That is what we do in case we have an vidiot landing out. 3. Will show vignetting and quality loss Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  4. You are of cource free to not jump with handcam, if you do not like the product, a lot of my customers are happy with it and yes they can choose between in and outside video. Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  5. What does a watch have to do with an AAD??? I do not see the link. Oh yes I prefer the Cypres2 as the way they are doing business is the normal way of working in aerospace industry for safety critical applications. Oh yes I'm an aerospace engineer responsible for safety critical components! Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  6. How much vignetting? Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  7. Are you seriously making the argument that handcam allows a variety of angles? Sorry, but that's laughable. The only angles I see in handcam videos are slight variations of nostril (and if you're lucky, maybe some legs and ground after opening). Or the passenger's reaction after opening? We are going off-topic. Just curious does the CX105 have a normal out including slowmotion so you can use lineair editing? CX105 will do ok. For the moment I stay with my HC5. Some people consider this a large camera for handcam. I do not have any issues with it. Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  8. buy a firewire to usb2 switchbox. HC5 can only transfer pictures via usb Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  9. That is a different discussion. Here in europe tandems are sold as thrilrides making the person in front a passenger. Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  10. I don't know. I suppose nothing, unless the batteries are old and leakage is a concern. Because you do not know is enough reason to "not allow the device" in aerospace world Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  11. When there is really something wrong it will appear again in a second. Remove the bulb Don't tell I told you Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  12. Can I have one with radar-absorbing paint so the tax-maffia can not track this awesome money-maker Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  13. Waycool & cameye, waycool.25lens, but want to try royal .2. Sont HC5, not the smallest camera, but quailty and screenshots are ok. Will add pic soon. In case I had to purchase e new set-up it would be CX105! Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  14. CD-DISC & HardDisc DOES NOT WORK IN FREEFALL!!!!! Mini-DV tape or solid state Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  15. I still want to know how this toggle got "stuck". I've packed tens of thousands of tandem mains (mostly Icarus), and I NEVER used the snap. Not once did a toggle get stuck. So I'm confused and a little concerned about this malfunction. Please elaborate. I don't want to flame, just want to understand. An icarus does not have a brake setting like the sigma or EZ. 16. You are clearly not a TM!!! I can assure you that you can not steer and land a skydiving-tandemcanopy using the rearrisers only. You (or at least the passenger) will end in hospital!! When I try to pull a rearriser, I go up, the riser does not go down (Yes I'm a TM) Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  17. Youtube is a perfect source of what to expect in the field as a TM. Best way to learn more about Tandems is to take the course. Although books and videos are very helpful, it's not perfect. Hang around, talk to the guys etc or take the course Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  18. As this is the normal procedure, any deviation from this sequence is an out-of-sequence deployment procedure THIS IS NOT MY OPINION!!! Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  19. I just had a small discussion with a fellow TM who thinks you shall always use your left release first, handcam or not. I do not see the problem in using the right hand release as primary and the left hand as secondary and use my left hand to get a good openingshot (our passengers can not access the right hand release!) Please comment Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  20. Only if you attach the lens to the plate (a velcro strap for example) Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  21. By the time this comes on the market at an affordable price my HC5 isrobably worn out Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  22. Just a remark from a simple mechanical/aerospace engineer. Adding a conversion lense to the front of your normal lens ads weight to the front of your camera, due to the additional torque during opening. This will put a significant amount of additional stress on both the lens-body mount and the body-helmet mount during opening. The risk of damaging the camera or lens is higher due to this. Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!
  23. In germany required, in the netherlands not. I do not really understand the purpose of a helmet on a tandem other than looking silly on video and preventing good communication with the passenger Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . . Also in case you jump a sport rig!!!

  25. Using the last method gives you more flexibility in choosing the web-images. (Although they are 2mpixel images) You can use them rather well for aplications like here on the left (cropped image from a HC5) Using your droque to gain stability is a bad habid. . .
