I get into Tampa airport at 6pm on Wed Dec 29th.....any chance anyone else is getting in around the same time and can give me a ride? Happy to pay my way....

Emily, there were times that I spent months away from Mile Hi but always on my return you were there, guaranteed to have a smile and a "hello" waiting for me and making me feel right at home again in seconds. You will be missed but never forgotten. Simon

Continental to Aisa...is it as bad as Continental to Europe?
repcool replied to shah269's topic in The Bonfire
I have flown Continental and Continental Micronesia to Asia plenty of time from the US. They are "fine". I prefer carries like Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines but CO still beats Cathy Pacific in my book. -
I will be there so can you put me on the "needs mates" list to see if I can get on a team! Simon

So glad that some many people came out on Saturday and a special thanks to Scott and Kyle for coming the extra distance! What a SOLID base Kyle was laying down. Weather, mostly winds prevented more than 4 loads but we made the most of what we had. Lots of fun with lots of learning I think, a good way to end the Skydive Empire season. We will repeat the effort mid to late Spring, maybe there will be a CO record to break then...or maybe we still get to set it! I hope everyone that came had a good time. Attached is a photo with a nice formation...but it was not complete so no points for just trying! Simon

Just received a massive shipment of demos, come and fly one! Intros to X-Birds!!!!

We need 2 to send the Cessna and 5 to send the King Air. I will be out there Friday afternoon so you can do the math....I am happy to ride the Cessna to altitude if there are just 2 of us...else "my back!"... Simon

If we get enough "confirmed" flyers for Friday then the pilot and plane can be there...at this point there isn't enough interest...just let me know, I will be out there Friday mid morning. Simon

First load is confirmed for 9am wheels up on saturday. Be there early or camp out friday night!
-
We have confirmed a stash of Tonysuit Wingsuits for the event, come out and give them a fly!

It really was a wonderful time. I almost didn't go but when I checked the weather Friday morning I just knew I would have regretted staying at home. Great to see so many friendly faces in suits.

I will be there...obviously.... 1. Simon

Colorado Wingsuiters! Old man winter is knocking on the door, come on out for a flocking good time to wrap up the season. Skydive Empire at Fort Morgan municipal airport, October 9-10. DZ it old school style with outdoor packing, grilling and fire pit, the only modern convenience is the King Air!!! - Organizer: Scott Callantine - $25 King Air loads - Skill building loads - bring out your fresh nylon - Record loads - the record to beat in Colorado is a 0 way, we can do it!!! The bird house on wheels will offer us debrief protection from the rays. If you are coming along please PM\email me so I can figure out if we need extra porta potties and sausages. We can send loads on the 8th if there is enough interest. Simon PS: You don’t need to be a Colorado wingsuiter to come....

I had to land in a cloud once, that really sucked.

If you have Excel there are some good functions such as dec2bin.

"What do YOU want out of a wingsuiting event?"
repcool replied to PhoenixRising's topic in Wing Suit Flying
How about some 2-way artistic type stuff..... -
I just drop mine in the arm wing and it seems to work fine. The bigger issue is keeping a "lock on" before exit.
-
Congrats! By the time I get back in the air I will need a recurrency from you! :-)
-
I will be there for sure....and if my back isn't hurting too bad I will be jumping some as well!
-
Has anyone tested that? Those mounts seem pretty solid to me. I wrapped a line around one with a 25lb dumbell on the end and the plastic mount snapped.

I think this is one of the most valuable discussions held for a while. This topic crossed my mind a few times over Lake Elsinore but I never brought it up. Thanks for to all involved, I see a new PFD gadget in my future.....needs to be on option on my next Tony Suit!
