US Military protocol is that the towed jumper snap back to a good tight body position with his left hand protecting the reserve ripcord grip. All attempts will be made to retrieve that towed jump back into the aircraft. If that towed jumper cannot be retrieved back into the aircraft and is still conscious, he will be cut away and should immediately deploy his reserve for a complete malfunction. If that towed jumper cannot be retrieved back into the aircraft is not conscious, a runway will be covered in foam and the aircraft will land with the jumper in tow. The pilot will make every effort to bank on the side with the towed jump to minimize bouncing the jumper off the side of the aircraft. However, I have never heard of a case where the towed jumper could not be retrieved back into the aircraft. I think most C130s now have a retrieval winch installed on the anchor line cable. Unfortunately, the majority of towed jumpers behind a C130 get beat to death by the fuselage anyway. Dave -
Any time we wanted to get out of singing cadence, we would use this one: Eat, Bite, Suck, Fuck, Gobble, Nibble, Chew. Nipple, Bosom, Hair-Pie, Finger, Fuck, Screw. Moose piss, Cat-pud, Orangutan tit, Sheep pussy, Camel crotch, A big lion shit. One of our instructors at AIT loved that one and taught it to us. But they rarely let anyone get past the first couple of lines before calling on someone else to call cadence... - Dave

The best Mr. Bill video ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCcDwg2CIiQ :) For what it's worth, I highly recommend getting a PCA out the door. It can be done without it, but it's much easier that way. Dave

Carly's dad, my friend Doug, LOVED the video! He said it was so well done that NOW he finally understands why we love the sport! Thanks for a job well done! I suppose I'll have to wait til I come back for a visit to see the video. On another note, did your brother win the contest on green tea?

Yep, that was The Farm. I was her videographer... :) Dave

Hey guys, my brother has put together a video for some kind of tea scholarship competition. The prize is a $20k scholarship which would help when he transfers to Naropa University next year. 10% of the judges scores will be based on the number of views the video gets. My brother has had a very long road to get where he is today, he spent several years homeless and living on the streets. I did everything I could to make sure he at least had clothes and food. A couple of years ago he got interested in some college classes and gave me a call. I set him up with a bank account, a cell phone and a laptop and I put a little money in his account every week. He has worked hard ever since and signed up for more classes than any one person should sign up for, but maintained a 4.0 GPA the entire time. This video he has put together is about the origins and benefits of green tea. It doesn't matter if you're interested in green tea or if you don't even like tea, just please click the link and waste 2 minutes of your time... :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMFWGW7fQbc Thanks everyone!!! Yeah but.......Just because Sierra Mist is made by Pepsi, it does not make it as marketable. I actually enjoy the HDNet Fights too, but they are a far cry from what the UFC has. If you watch WEC you will notice that the stage setup, lighting, monitors, and pretty much everything is identical to UFC. Really no noticeable difference except that they feature the lightweights a lot more and have featherweight and bantemweight division... Dave

He was phenomenal! He fought with a lot of emotion for a while, you could tell he was pretty pissed off, but he got control and made a good show of it... Dave

I don't know what you were watching, but a score of 30 would be pretty bad since the Faber/Pulver fight was 5 rounds. The only person to ever score an 8 for 3 rounds was Kalib Starnes during his 15 minutes of running from Nate Quarry. The final scores from the 3 judges were 50-45, 50-44 and 50-44. Which means that 2 of the judges gave Pulver an 8 for one of the rounds and 9 for each of the other rounds. I don't think that's too harsh really, he did spend at least one round doing nothing but surviving and at one point made it obvious that he was just trying to stall on the ground so they would stand them back up. Damn good fight overall though. I knew it would be a tough battle, but I didn't expect it to go to decision... Dave

Our first attempt was basically a pilot chute stuck in our burble until we reached terminal, then instant canopy which threw me off pretty violently (but I managed to take Warren's shoe with me). The second attempt last weekend went much better. PCA out the door made all the difference. I took a shot to the chin from his 3-ring assembly and had a bit of a fat lip, no blood though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCcDwg2CIiQ Dave

The memorial page for Beezy Shaw is on the page prior to Lee's memorial page. If I'm not mistaken, some of the pictures of Beezy's ash dive on his memorial page were taken by Lee... Dave

Hey, how about your prove this scientificaly? Since ,............. well, ...............you know, ................oh hell forget it...... There have been many recent scientific studies into the beginnings of morality. http://richarddawkins.net/article,763,n,n http://www.null-hypothesis.co.uk/science/reviews/books/philosophers_primates_monkey_moral_ape http://disgruntledsporean.blogspot.com/2007/05/are-morals-exclusive-to-religious.html http://discovermagazine.com/2000/feb/featmorals/article_view?b_start:int=1&-C= These mostly talk about primates, but the same behavior has been studied in elephants, birds, dolphins, etc. Dave
