i'm not sure if someone else has mentioned this but i tried getting people to come do a tandem on the days i was going up so that it was cheaper for me. my dz offers monetary incentives if you bring in people. It worked a few times but then it backfired, some people didn't show up and it made me look stupid, so i stopped.

I got mad because I was scared for the girl and affraid for the AFFI. I didn't think she should have been allowed to jump, I looked a bit harder and found her level four and she had a pretty descent arch. I haven't reported it yet because I can't find the add on here anymore, I was telling a rigger at my dz about it and he instantly knew and told me the scam, some guy selling a nice mirage g4 with nitron 170 main, for around 1600, he says he is in europe and will send the rig from there, it turns out that the reserve pack job has my riggers name on it and the rig belongs to his friend that jumps here in Utah. I'm not saying anything bad about the dz.com classifieds but I am just discourged about buy gear online since the first few attempts I made turned out to be shitty scammers.

thanks for the help everyone, I did some more investigating, and yes it was a scam, I went to the seller and asked him if he in fact sold it, and he had. this is the third scam i have encountered trying to buy a rig, 2 of them where from dz.com. I'm pretty sure I won't get to burned now since I've had this experience, I will only do buisness threw my home dz and riggers. For the record though, I am 6' 165lbs. I don't want a first main larger than a 210, i've been jumping a 220 alot and really like it, but if anyone knows any good gear that would fit let me know. Thanks, sorry for the trouble. o I'm new to the sport but I really have been looking for some gear of my own. I look at rigs on here all the time, I look at the gear for sale at my dropzone, and I even look on ebay. I saw an add on ebay for a complete rig for sale and I placed a bid at $650 knowing it would sale for much more but in the back of my head hoping I would win. Anyway, the auction ended and the final winning bid was $1350. Well I just got home and checked my email and I have a message from ebay saying that the winner bidder was unable to buy the rig so I was the second highest bidder and it is mine at $650 if I want it. PLEASE help and tell me if this gear is good or not. I will copy and paste the add as well as I can. Also, i think it said somthing about it being set up for CREW, what does that mean? can I open at terminal speed? if not what do i need to do to change it.
